Reds' game vs. Brewers rained out; split DH set for Aug. 30

April 11th, 2024

CINCINNATI -- Thursday afternoon's scheduled series finale between the Reds and Brewers at Great American Ball Park was postponed because of rain.

The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Aug. 30.

Cincinnati is not adjusting its rotation, but Thursday’s scheduled starter, Nick Martinez, is having his turn to pitch skipped.

For the upcoming three-game series at the White Sox, Andrew Abbott will start Friday. Nick Lodolo will be activated from the injured list to make his season debut Saturday, and Graham Ashcraft is scheduled on Sunday.

Fans holding tickets for Thursday’s game can use it for the makeup game on Aug. 30 at 12:40 p.m. ET, with no exchange necessary.

Game 2 of the doubleheader vs. Milwaukee remains at its original start time of 6:40 p.m. ET.
