Game Recaps
Another game, another Peoria win.
Facing Glendale for the second consecutive game, it was another offensive explosion for both teams with the Javelinas once again coming out on top, 13-10.
The Desert Dogs scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 10-6 lead, but the Javelinas responded with a six-spot in the top of the seventh. From there, they shut out Glendale the rest of the way with Reds prospect Trent Hodgdon accounting for one of those scoreless innings.
Peoria (13-8) is now 8-1 in its last nine games and in sole possession of first place.
Carter Graham, Yerlin Confidan and Carlos Sanchez all had a hand in this one. Graham had two hits, including his first AFL home run. He also walked, drove in two and score three. Confidan added a pair of hits including a homer of his own. He's now batting .367 in 12 games. Sanchez drove in the game's first pair of runs on a first-inning single.
