What is Red Sox Nation?

Red Sox Nation is the official fan club for the Boston Red Sox, bringing fans closer to the team and providing access to insider experiences and perks.


Is there a cost to join?

Yes, Membership for 2018 Red Sox Nation costs $19.95 per membership, per year; provided, however, the cost for 2017 Red Sox Nation members who have their membership automatically renew for 2018 is the same regular full season price of the 2017 membership. All 2018 Red Sox Nation memberships are valid through December 31, 2018.

Will I receive a Red Sox Nation E-newsletter?

Yes. As a Red Sox Nation member you will receive an e-newsletter. The Red Sox Nation e-newsletter allows members to access content and special offers available for Red Sox Nation members. You must register for the e-newsletter with a valid email address and may opt out of the e-newsletter at any time. Neither the Boston Red Sox nor MLB.com is responsible for invalid email addresses or emails that bounce or are filtered by e-mail providers. Offers distributed via Red Sox Nation e-newsletter may also be available for viewing on the Red Sox Nation members-only section on redsoxnation.com.


PURCHASING & RENEWALS; REFUNDS

How do I purchase a Red Sox Nation membership?

In order to purchase a membership to Red Sox Nation, you must complete the Red Sox Nation order form at redsoxnation.com or in person at Fenway Park. You must provide complete and accurate information, including name, address, telephone number (e.g., home, work, mobile and fax), email address, valid payment card information and shipping address. The redsox.com Privacy Policy explains how such information may be collected and used. The email address associated with your Red Sox Nation membership account will be your Red Sox Nation member username. You must use or, for gifts, provide a unique email address and password for each membership purchased. The Boston Red Sox and/or MLB.com reserve the right to decline service to or terminate any account for suspicious activity or violation of the terms of this page or the redsox.com Terms of Use. All sales are final unless cancelled in accordance with the refund policy set forth below. For additional questions regarding membership, please contact us. The terms of purchase of a Red Sox Nation membership control in the event of a conflict between these terms and the MLB.com Terms of Use.


Does my membership renew automatically?

No, but you do have the option to set up automatic renewal. For your convenience, you have the option to have your Red Sox Nation membership automatically renew at the previous year's regular full price. Your automatically renewed membership may come with premiums (e.g., hat, sticker) of equal or greater value to the items provided as premiums in the previous year, though the exact type of premium(s) provided may change from year to year. Red Sox Nation will contact members whose memberships are subject to automatic renewal via email by the Spring of the following Major League Baseball season to notify them of their pending renewal. MLB.com will refund the paid purchase price of an automatically renewed 2018 Red Sox Nation membership if a refund request is received by contacting redsoxnation@website.mlb.com within ten (10) days of your 2018 renewal date, which will be included in the email, sent to the email address associated with your account, notifying you of the renewal of your membership. There will be no returns, refunds or exchanges after this date.

Red Sox Nation may determine, in its discretion, to discontinue Red Sox Nation membership offered with automatic renewal. If that occurs, such memberships will not automatically renew. Red Sox Nation will contact those members by email prior to the start of the next Major League Baseball regular season to notify them of available membership options, if any, for that year's Major League Baseball season.


Will I receive information about my automatic renewal?

Yes. All Red Sox Nation members who selected the automatic renewal option when originally purchasing their memberships, and such membership is still available in 2018, and have not cancelled or purchased a new personal membership for 2018 will receive notification of the pending renewal in February 2018 and then automatically have their memberships renew approximately one (1) week later. For information on refunds for automatically renewed 2018 memberships, please see above.


Can gift memberships be automatically renewed?

No. Gift memberships cannot be automatically renewed from year to year.


When will my membership automatically renew?

If you purchase a 2018 membership and elect to have that membership automatically renew, then your membership will automatically renew approximately in March 2019, unless you contact us by February 15, 2019, to opt to have the automatic renewal feature canceled. You will receive notification of the pending renewal in approximately March 2019 and then automatically have your membership renew approximately two (2) weeks later. If you do not cancel by the date set forth in your notification email, then your membership will automatically renew in approximately March 2019, and will be subject to the refund policy set forth below.


Can I purchase a Red Sox Nation membership as a gift?

Yes. We will contact your gift recipient via email to let him/her know that you have purchased a Red Sox Nation membership on his/her behalf. Please be aware that the recipient will need to register for a MLB.com account and activate the membership using the link in the gift notification email in order to receive the Red Sox Nation online benefits and Welcome Package, so please be sure that the email address provided is correct. If the intended recipient did not receive the email, then please contact us. Consistent with the MLB.com Privacy Policy, children under thirteen (13) are not eligible to register for a MLB.com account.


How does a gift recipient receive the Red Sox Nation benefits?

GIFT RECIPIENTS MUST ACTIVATE THEIR GIFT MEMBERSHIP TO RECEIVE THE BENEFITS OF THEIR RED SOX NATION MEMBERSHIP, THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD AND THEIR WELCOME PACKAGE. The email they receive when they are notified of their gift includes a special link and information on how to activate their membership online. They must click on that link and follow activation instructions.

NOTE: Gift recipients must activate their membership by September 30, 2018; however, in order to receive the online benefits of their 2018 Red Sox Nation gift membership, we recommend they activate their membership as soon as possible. If they do not activate by such date, their gift welcome package will be sent at the end of the Major League Baseball regular season to the address provided by the original gift purchaser.

Please note that addresses associated with certain internet service providers sometimes have difficulty receiving gift notification emails. The email may be in gift recipient's spam folder. If gift recipient has not received the gift notification email, please contact us.


Is it possible to get a refund for my Red Sox Nation membership?

Yes. In order to provide the highest customer satisfaction possible, MLB.com will refund the paid purchase price of a Red Sox Nation membership if a refund request is received at redsoxnation@website.mlb.com within ten (10) days of your purchase date.


WELCOME PACKAGE AND MEMBERSHIP CARDS; BENEFITS

How do I access my digital Red Sox Nation membership card?

Through the MLB Ballpark app you will also have access to your Red Sox Nation membership card. Once you have logged into the MLB Ballpark app, scroll to the bottom of the page on the Ballpark tab and select Red Sox Nation ID Card. You can use this barcode to scan your membership card at the Red Sox Nation kiosk around Fenway Park.


How do I request a physical membership card?

As soon as you sign up for a membership or renew your membership, a physical membership card will be sent to you in the mail. These membership cards are sent out in a batch process so it might take up to three (3) weeks to receive your membership card.


How do I receive my Red Sox Nation welcome package and personalized and digital membership cards?

Your Red Sox Nation welcome package contains your personalized membership card, Red Sox Nation decal and welcome letter.

Welcome packages will begin to be shipped in March 2018. Please allow four (4) to six (6) weeks for delivery. Neither the Boston Red Sox nor MLB.com is responsible for lost or stolen shipments. Any 2018 welcome packages returned by the U.S. Postal Service will be held at MLB.com, 75 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10011 until the conclusion of the 2018 Major League Baseball regular season and may be claimed by the applicable Red Sox Nation member by providing proof of identification to MLB.com. Welcome package contents will not be replaced.

Separate from the welcome packages, Red Sox Nation members will receive a digital membership card via the MLB Ballpark application. The digital membership card will be available in March 2018.


As a Red Sox Nation member do I have access to a members-only section?

Yes. Members of Red Sox Nation will have access to special offers and content on the members-only section of redsox.com. You must have a valid Red Sox Nation username and password to log in. The email address associated with your Red Sox Nation membership account will be your Red Sox Nation member username.


Do I have access to 2018 MLB Gameday Audio for my computer?

Yes. 2018 MLB Gameday Audio for your computer allows members to listen to every Major League Baseball regular season and Postseason game online.

To access 2018 MLB Gameday Audio for your computer, log in to the Red Sox Nation members-only section on redsoxnation.com and click on the links for the Multimedia Center.


Do I have early entry and access to the Green Monster to view Red Sox batting practice?

Yes. For each 2018 regular season home game, all Red Sox Nation members (with valid dated game ticket) may enter the ballpark via "Nation's Way" at Gate C on Lansdowne Street two-and-a-half (2.5) hours before scheduled game start, to watch Red Sox Batting Practice from atop the Green Monster. Red Sox Nation members may remain on the Green Monster until the general ballpark gates open. No re-entry to Fenway Park is permitted and this benefit is non-transferable. Red Sox Nation members must have proof of 2018 Red Sox Nation membership (e.g., 2018 Red Sox Nation personalized membership card, digital membership card via the MLB Ballpark application, a printed copy of 2018 membership purchase confirmation e-mail) and a valid photo ID.


Will I receive Red Sox Nation exclusive ticket opportunities?

Yes. From time to time, Red Sox Nation members will receive the opportunity to participate in exclusive ticket opportunities. These opportunities will be communicated to members via e-mail and/or on the Red Sox Nation members-only section on redsoxnation.com. All offers will be available for a limited time and subject to availability and any terms posted in connection with each opportunity in the Red Sox Nation members-only section on redsoxnation.com and/or included in the e-mail, as applicable. Check the Red Sox Nation members-only section on redsoxnation.com regularly for details and updates.


Team Store Discounts

Do I get a discount at the team store?

Yes. All 2018 Red Sox Nation members will receive ten percent (10%) off discount on eligible purchases through 12/31/18, at the official Red Sox Team Store located at 19 Yawkey Way. Red Sox Nation discounts are not valid for game-used items or sale items and are subject to any other restrictions that may be imposed from time to time by the Red Sox or the official Red Sox Souvenir Store and disclosed in the Red Sox Nation members-only section on redsoxnation.com. No discounts are given on merchandise commemorating any Red Sox Postseason appearances or victories. The discount must be used at time of purchase and may only be received upon presentation of a valid proof of 2018 Red Sox Nation membership (Red Sox Nation personalized membership card, digital membership card, or printed copy of 2018 membership confirmation e-mail) and a valid photo ID. The name on the Red Sox Nation personalized and digital membership card must match the name on the payment card being used for purchase. Discounts may not be combined with any other offer.


Do I get discounts on the redsox.com online shop?

Yes. Members may take ten percent (10%) off a single eligible order at mlbshop.com/Boston_Red_Sox, the Official Online Shop of the Boston Red Sox. Valid only at mlbshop.com/Boston_Red_Sox. The discount code will be available to you through the Red Sox Nation members-only section on redsoxnation.com. Valid on one (1) qualifying product order of in-stock merchandise. The discount code will be valid from February 22, 2018, through 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2018. Limit one (1) use per member/email address. Discount excludes On Sale items; additional exclusions may apply. Discount code is not valid for gift certificates, gift cards, taxes, shipping, handling or other services.
