Three Minor Leaguers suspended for PED use
Three Minor Leaguers were suspended on Thursday for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Phillies right-hander Gustavo Armas, currently with the Venezuelan Summer League Phillies, received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a metabolite of Nandrolone.
Tigers shortstop Moises Bello, also in the Venezuelan Summer League, was suspended for 50 games after testing positive for a metabolite of Boldenone.
White Sox catcher Nicholas Parent, currently at Rookie-level Bristol, received a 50-game suspension for testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. Parent is the son of White Sox bench coach Mark Parent.
All suspensions begin immediately.
