¡Gracias, Miggy! The Final Season
With Miguel Cabrera announcing that the 2023 season will be his final as a player, the Detroit Tigers will host a season-long celebration providing fans various opportunities to honor the career of the greatest player of a generation.
"¡Gracias, Miggy! The Final Season" is a campaign that will do just that, identifying key dates throughout the season that allow fans across baseball to revel in Miggy's greatest moments, past and present. Everything is centered around the things that matter most to Miguel: his family, his heritage, his teammates, and winning.
Every game at Comerica Park this season will have a special Miggy-centric flare to it, including photo opportunities throughout the ballpark and unique and features on the scoreboard during his at-bats. Key dates, which are outlined below, will have even more special features for fans to enjoy.
¡Gracias, Miggy! Celebration Weekend
Friday Night Party at the Park, Miggy style! Latin food offerings and music throughout the ballpark, with a special post-game drone show before Friday Night Fireworks.
Pre-game ceremony to honor the career of Miguel Cabrera, including video tributes, guest speakers, and much more. First 15,000 fans through the gates receive a Miguel Cabrera Print-All-Over T-Shirt, presented by Visit Central Florida.
What could be the final regular season game of Miggy’s legendary career. All fans entering the ballpark will receive a ¡Gracias, Miggy! commemorative item, with creative design input from Miggy himself.
