College Classic names All-Tournament Team, announces 2013 field
HOUSTON, TX — The three-day Houston College Classic baseball tournament (March 2-4) concluded tonight at Minute Maid Park, with Arkansas, Rice and the University of Houston each finishing with 2-1 records. Tennessee, Texas and Texas Tech rounded out the field with 1-2 marks.
Each team placed at least one player on the 2012 Houston College Classic All-Tournament Team, which was highlighted by the Classic’s Most Outstanding Player P Jordan Stephens from Rice, who pitched 7.0 scoreless frames in tonight’s nightcap.
The remaining 2012 All-Tournament Team filled out as follows:

The Astros also announced the field for the 2013 Houston College Classic, which includes Rice University and the University of Houston, as well as Texas A&M, Baylor, North Carolina and California. The 2013 HCC will mark the event’s 13th year and will feature nine games at Minute Maid Park from March 1-3, 2013.
