BLUE JAYS FAMILIES

Blue Jays Families represent a diverse group of individuals that support Blue Jays players and coaches year-round, on and off the field. This caring and compassionate group of individuals are the team behind the team and provide a stable support system that their partners heavily rely on. Blue Jays Families support various philanthropic efforts within the Blue Jays Community each baseball season including, the Annual Blue Jays Family Fundraising Weekend which is the longest-running community initiative that benefits Canadian families who are experiencing food insecurity.

37th ANNUAL BLUE JAYS FAMILY FUNDRAISING WEEKEND

The Toronto Blue Jays hosted its annual Blue Jays Family Fundraising Weekend on July 29 and 30 at Rogers Centre. Evolved from the “Lady Jays Food Drive,” the club’s longest-running community initiative returned in-person for the first time since 2019 to benefit families across Canada experiencing food insecurity by providing a stress-free Family Night at Home.

Blue Jays fans helped raise nearly $75,000 this year as well as donated new toys, games, and craft supplies over the weekend. All proceeds from this event will be benefitting Jays Care Foundation’s Family Night at Home program, a dynamic, play-based food security program for Canadian families.

Family Night at Home delivered by DoorDash and The Sprott Foundation, was launched by Jays Care Foundation during the pandemic, based off the insight that families who get frequent opportunities to eat and play together are much better equipped to weather the ups and downs that life brings. Fans that wish to still support the campaign, can do so by making a monetary donation at jayscare.com/donate.
