It was a night to remember for Dixon Williams.
The Braves' prospect turned in a remarkable 4-for-5 night that featured a pair of long balls and 10 RBIs in High-A Rome's 19-6 victory over Asheville on Saturday night at HomeTrust Park. Williams' 10-RBI performance is the first non-complex 10-RBI game across the Minors since Cameron Decker (Dodgers) accomplished the feat back on Aug. 2, 2024, for Rancho Cucamonga.
The 2025 draftee's run-producing night started right away as he drove in a run with a sac fly to center against right-hander Parker Smith (Astros) in the first.
In the second, with rain pouring down, Williams stepped to the dish with two outs and the bases loaded. The East Carolina product got a 1-0 four-seamer in the middle of the zone and didn’t miss it, cutting it through the wind and over the wall in right-center for a grand slam.
Hitting with runners in scoring position is something Williams has done well in 2026, posting a 1.030 OPS and .627 slugging percentage.

Strolling to the dish in the fourth, Williams and Smith squared off for a third time. With a runner on first and second with one away, the center fielder stayed back on a 1-1 curveball and hooked an RBI single into right. In the fifth, he’d collect his third hit and seventh RBI of the evening by lining an RBI double into the right-field corner.
Williams, whom the club drafted with the compensation pick it received for Max Fried departing in free agency, has logged 36 extra-base hits in 91 games, which ranks fifth among all qualified hitters in the Braves system this season.
After grounding out in the seventh, the Greenville, N.C., native climbed back into the box one last time in the ninth. With runners on first and second, Williams turned on a 2-0 middle-middle fastball from righty Joan Ogando and launched it deep into the night for a three-run homer.
The three-run blast pushed his season RBI total to 70, tying him with Alex Lodise (ATL No. 5) -- who collected four hits in his own right Saturday -- for second in the Braves system.
