DENVER -- Right-hander Mike Foltynewicz made his second rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday as he continues his recovery from a right elbow bone spur that sidelined him following one Spring Training start.

Foltynewicz threw 61 pitches over 3 2/3 innings against Durham, a start that was interrupted by a 43-minute rain delay in the second inning. He threw 43 strikes, giving up two runs on four hits, walking one and striking out five. With his target being 70-75 pitches for the outing, Foltynewicz threw 12 pitches in the bullpen during the delay.

"He felt good, that's the big thing," Braves manager Brian Snitker said. "We'll see how he feels tomorrow, and reevaluate then. ... Until he comes in the next day, and nothing developed or he feels OK, then we kind of get a better read on where they're at and make sure everything is OK."

Snitker wouldn't go as far as saying Foltynewicz would make his next start with Atlanta if everything checks out with him medically. The right-hander had an All-Star season in 2018, posting a 2.85 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over 31 starts.
