WASHINGTON -- Ozzie Albies will likely miss the remainder of this weekend's series at Nationals Park, and he appears to be questionable for a two-game set that begins Monday in Miami. But the Braves second baseman was fortunate to exit Friday night's 8-5 win over the Nationals before sustaining a significant hamstring injury.
"We'll get him some treatment and stay away from him for a day or two and then see how he is," Braves manager Brian Snitker said.
Albies tweaked his right hamstring as he dashed around the bases during the first inning and then continued to feel tightness before he was removed when his spot came up to bat in the third. The All-Star second baseman walked around the clubhouse after the game without a noticeable limp, but the Braves will not take any chances with the speedy infielder.
"That's one of those things where if you keep going and something goes, that's a two-month thing," Snitker said. "His game is his legs. That's what makes him the exciting player he is. He knows one speed. I just felt it was best we try to stay ahead of it and not push it."

Albies doubled, then stole third base before scoring on Freddie Freeman's groundout. He grabbed his hamstring after he dove across the plate in uncontested fashion.
"He amped up that first at-bat," Snitker said. "He was all over the place. He felt it enough that I didn't want to take any chances."
Charlie Culberson replaced Albies as a pinch-hitter and played the remainder of the game at second base, where Culberson may start over the next few days. The versatile utility man drilled his fifth homer of the season during the sixth inning.
