Phillies and SEI volunteers package meals for families in need
As a continuation of this year’s Season of Giving presented by SEI, Phillies and SEI volunteers gathered at Share Food Program in Philadelphia on Tuesday to package meals and organize canned and boxed goods, that will be provided to families in need across the area.
Phillies special guests also took part in the operation, including 1980 World Series champion Dickie Noles, 1993 National League champions Mickey Morandini and Milt Thompson, and Phillies ambassador Scott Palmer. Plus, the Phillie Phanatic made sure to “help.”
Share Food Program leads the fight against food insecurity in the Philadelphia region, by serving an expansive, quality partner network of community-based organizations and school districts engaged in food distribution, education and advocacy. Share Food Program is now the leading hunger relief organization in our region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation.
