Phillies special guests host lunch for youth in need at Covenant House
November 25, 2025
Following last week’s Sleep out at Citizens Bank Park, which raised over a million dollars for Covenant House PA, the Phillies and special guests stopped at the organization’s youth shelter in Philadelphia to host lunch for those in need.
The Phillie Phanatic brought the holiday fun, along with 1993 National League champions Mickey Morandini and Thompson, and 1980 World Series champions Larry Bowa and Dickie Noles.
Bowa and his wife, Patty, long-time advocates of Covenant House and Sleep Out participants, presented a $1 million+ dollar donation to the organization, representing monies raised at last week’s Sleep Out, which will be used to help Philadelphia youth facing homelessness.
