He reached for his left shoulder after getting up before immediately being removed from the game. Jenkins is hitting .256/.396/.389 through 25 games at the highest level of the Minors this year. TOP 100 PROSPECT NEWS
(ordered by ranking)

No. 6 Sebastian Walcott, SS/3B, Rangers
Injury: Underwent internal brace surgery on right elbow
Expected return: As early as August
It’s good news that the 19-year-old infielder avoided Tommy John surgery, shortening the recovery time. It’s going to be a timeline of about five to six months before he starts hitting, and the fielding will follow. Position players have a shorter rehab timeline for elbow surgery than pitchers with either the internal brace or Tommy John surgery. If Walcott returns in August, it’s conceivable that he could appear in regular-season games at a Minor League affiliate before heading to the Arizona Fall League or a Winter League in the offseason. No. 18 Aidan Miller, SS, Phillies
Injury: Back discomfort
Expected return: Day-to-day
Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said on April 9 that Miller is back to swinging a bat after recurring back soreness prevented the club's top prospect from participating in baseball activities since Feb. 21. The issue first flared up last year for the 2023 first-rounder, who missed the final few games of the 2025 Minor League season and was pulled from participating in the Arizona Fall League due to similar discomfort. The club doesn't have a timetable Miller's return, in part because of the nature of back injuries and the recurring nature of his. Dombrowski is happy with his progress and does not see a reason to rush him; Miller will return to Triple-A Lehigh Valley when he is fully healthy. More » (Last updated: April 9)

No. 21 Luis Peña, SS, Brewers
Injury: Hospitalized for overheating
Expected return: TBD
Despite early reports that Peña would return to the lineup this week, the 19-year-old still hasn't played since April 22. According to Brewers general manager Matt Arnold, Peña is now set to see a neurologist on May 3 for further evaluation as the team works to rule out all possible risks. Peña was hospitalized April 22 after he passed out in the High-A Wisconsin dugout during game action. He was administered IV fluids at the hospital and showed improvement, leading to him being discharged the next morning. To date, all tests have come back normal. (Last updated: May 1)

Injury: Right wrist surgery

The 21-year-old said he suffered the injury on a swing in his last Spring Training game on Feb. 28. Briceño made an impression in camp, including a home run off a Tarik Skubal slider during live batting practice in February. He batted 2-for-12 with a double and two RBIs in six Grapefruit League games. (Last updated: March 6)

No. 48 Travis Sykora, RHP, Nationals

No. 50 Jaxon Wiggins, RHP, Cubs
Injury: Right elbow inflammation
Expected return: TBD
Cubs manager Craig Counsell noted on April 15 that Wiggins was dealing with right elbow inflammation after not making his scheduled start on April 10. The 24-year-old was placed on the Minor League injured list due to lingering soreness, which the Cubs are hoping is just a minor issue. Wiggins last pitched on April 4 for Triple-A Iowa, and he had made only two starts this season prior to the move to the IL. He posted a 5.63 ERA over eight innings, striking out 10 and walking five. No. 70 Jarlin Susana, RHP, Nationals
Injury: Lat surgery
Expected return: TBD
Susana underwent lat surgery the week of Sept. 8. The 22-year-old had been limited to 56 1/3 innings in 2025 due to a Grade 1 UCL sprain in his elbow he suffered on May 4, then a right lat injury suffered on Aug. 30, which ended his season. Susana was a non-roster invite to Nationals big league camp this spring, but he did not compete in Grapefruit League action. (Last updated: March 25)

No. 83 Dax Kilby, SS, Yankees
Injury: Hamstring
Expected return: TBD
The 39th overall pick in last year's Draft hasn't gotten in game action this season due to a lingering hamstring injury. The 19-year-old is expected to begin his campaign with Single-A Tampa after coming off the injured list. Kilby posted a slash line of .353/.457/.441 with 16 stolen bases, 19 runs scored and nine RBIs over the first 18 games of his career for the Tarpons last season after being taken in the first round of the Draft. (Last updated: April 19)

Injury: Right hip inflammation
Expected return: TBD
The 24-year-old landed on the 7-day injured list on April 24 after a strong start to the season. The issue appeared to crop up on April 22, when Ingle exited Triple-A Columbus' game early. He’s reached base safely in each of his 15 games while slashing .394/.630/.788 with four home runs and 16 RBIs, with 20 walks and just nine strikeouts. More » (Last updated: April 27)

No. 92 Gavin Fien, INF, Nationals

Washington officially placed the 19-year-old -- one of the headliners in this offseason's MacKenzie Gore deal with Texas -- on the 7-day injured list on April 16. (Last updated: April 17)

No. 97 River Ryan, RHP, Dodgers
Injury: Hamstring
Expected return: TBD
Ryan was placed on the 7-day injured list on April 17 due to a hamstring issue. Injuries have sidetracked the 27-year-old throughout his pro career, most recently when Tommy John surgery knocked him out for the entirety of the 2025 season. Ryan has 10 strikeouts through seven innings across two starts this year for Triple-A Oklahoma City. (Last updated: April 17)
