The Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation will continue its “Striking Out Barriers” campaign for the 2026 season, benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.

The foundation will donate $150 for every strikeout recorded by Luzardo during the 2026 season, an increase of $50 from last year.

The campaign launched in 2025, when the foundation donated $100 per strikeout. Luzardo recorded 224 strikeouts across the regular season and postseason, contributing to $148,000 raised through foundation contributions and matching sponsors.

Funds from the 2026 campaign will support programs across the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia, including scholarships and resources that directly benefit club members.

“Giving back has always been a big part of who I am, and Striking Out Barriers allows me to turn every moment on the mound into an opportunity to make a real difference. Supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs and the incredible kids they serve means everything to me, and I’m excited to build on last year’s impact and continue creating opportunities for them to succeed.” — Jesús Luzardo

“After helping raise critical support for our youth last year, we are proud to continue this partnership into a second year with Jesús Luzardo and the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation through the ‘Striking Out Barriers for Kids’ campaign, which directly supports the needs of Philadelphia’s kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. Their commitment is instrumental in empowering youth and creating lasting change for a brighter future.” — Lisabeth and Joseph Marziello, President and CEOs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.

The campaign will relaunch on the foundation’s social media platforms this week ahead of Luzardo’s scheduled start on March 29.
