Tri-Cape wins Phillies Baseball Carpenter Cup Championship Game

On Monday, June 20, Tri-Cape and Burlington County, the top two high school all-star baseball teams from the tri-state area, competed in the Phillies Baseball Carpenter Cup presented by Nike championship game, with Tri-Cape winning 7-1. The game was played at the Phillies Urban Youth Academy Showcase Field at FDR Park. This is the second year in a row that Tri-Cape captured the Baseball Carpenter Cup championship title. Recognized nationally as one of the best competitions for high school baseball players, the Phillies Carpenter Cup gives athletes the chance to play ball in front of major league and/or college scouts. The event has also been a catalyst for many players to receive scholarships and admission to some of the countryā€™s finest universities.
