The Reds on Tuesday added some versatility to their depth options, signing infielder Juniel Querecuto to a Minor League contract that includes an invitation to attend Spring Training with the big league club.

The deal with Querecuto gives Cincinnati 13 non-roster invitees.

Last season, Querecuto appeared in 96 games for Triple-A Reno in the D-backs' system, posting a .301/.354/.489 slash line while moving all over the infield. The 29-year-old switch-hitter produced 35 extra-base hits and 79 RBIs. Querecuto posted a .945 OPS against left-handed pitchers (85 plate appearances) last year and an .815 OPS against righties (311 plate appearances).

Querecuto's only Major League experience came in 2016, when he played four games for the Rays.
