Reds & PNC extend fan-focused relationship

March 28th, 2023

The Cincinnati Reds and PNC Bank today announced a multi-year extension of the relationship that established PNC as the official bank of the Reds.

The agreement makes PNC the exclusive and official bank, financial advisor, trust and mortgage banker, investment management and brokerage service provider of the Cincinnati Reds through 2027. This extension is a continuation of a relationship dating back to 2000.

“As a national main street bank, PNC is committed to ‘Reds Country,’ its people and celebrating an iconic team representing our national pastime,” said Warren Weber, PNC regional president for Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. “We are thrilled to extend and expand our relationship with the first professional baseball team. This helps PNC underscore what we do best – meeting and exceeding the needs of our clients, while supporting the communities in which our clients and colleagues live and work.”

The Reds and PNC will continue existing activations, and create new ones, at Great American Ball Park and in the community throughout Reds Country.

“The Reds are extremely proud to have PNC Bank continue as the Official Bank of the Cincinnati Reds,” said Karen Forgus, Reds senior vice president of Business Operations. “PNC Bank’s long-standing commitment to our region’s success and excellent reputation for serving both their clients and their communities makes them the perfect hometown bank for Reds Country.”

As part of the relationship, PNC will continue its support and active engagement with the Reds Community Fund’s field renovation programs, Reds Community Fund Telethon and P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy.

“PNC Bank and the PNC Foundation have been invaluable to our success,” said Charley Frank, Reds Community Fund executive director. “They’ve helped us build and establish the Reds Youth Academy, supported our baseball, softball and education programs, and have provided volunteer support. Each year, they allow us to serve the community in unique and authentic ways.”
