As part of our continued commitment to giving back, the Red Sox launched the Community Corner program in 2011 to spotlight the impactful work of local nonprofit organizations during Spring Training.

Each season, we proudly recognize a Featured Nonprofit of the Game, offering selected organizations a unique opportunity to share their mission, connect with fans, and gain valuable visibility.

Featured nonprofits receive 20 game tickets in a designated seating area, often shared with key supporters, volunteers, or sponsors.

As part of our commitment to community outreach, the Boston Red Sox are proud to support Southwest Florida through year-round volunteerism and charitable initiatives. Red Sox players, coaches, and front office staff volunteer with local nonprofits throughout the year.

The Boston Red Sox also host two signature fundraising events each year:

• The Boston Red Sox Children's Hospital Celebrity Classic: A golf tournament benefiting the Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida
• Evening with the Boston Red Sox: A special event supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County.

Each fall, the Red Sox Foundation proudly hosts the annual Swings for the Sox charity golf tournament in Southwest Florida. Held at the beautiful Tiburón Golf Club in Naples on the first Friday in October, the tournament features a fun and competitive scramble format with exciting contests, including longest drive, closest to the pin, putting contest, and prizes for top gross and net teams.

Proceeds from Swings for the Sox benefit the Lee County Red Sox Scholarship Fund. Through this program, the Red Sox Foundation awards a $5,000 college scholarship to one deserving student from each of the public high schools in Lee County and one student from a Lee County charter and ALS school for a total of 16 scholarships worth $80,000.

Since its inception, the tournament has helped the Red Sox Foundation give back more than $685,000 to local students and nonprofits throughout Southwest Florida, continuing our commitment to education and community support.
