Urban Youth Academy to host summer camps

The Astros Urban Youth Academy, located in Houston, will host free weeklong camps this summer, running Mondays through Fridays.

The UYA is run by The Astros Foundation and provides free baseball and softball instruction, life skills training and academic support to Houston youth, with a focus on serving inner-city and at-risk children and teens.

The doors are open year-round, free of charge to players ages 7 to 17. These summer camps will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT during the week.
