Food & Housing Insecurity

Too many in our region face the challenges of food insecurity and homelessness. We partner with a variety of local and regional agencies to improve the lives of individuals and families experiencing these hardships by providing funding, resources, supplies and service hours to benefit those with need.

Fighting Food Insecurity

We have supported causes fighting food insecurity in the Pacific Northwest for decades through partnerships with Northwest Harvest and Backpack Brigade, ballpark food drive efforts and player-led initiatives.

Supporting Neighbors Experiencing Homelessness

From our longstanding partnership with United Way of King County, to statistical programs with our corporate partners benefiting supportive services, to service projects with organizations like Plymouth Housing, we work to support resources for our neighbors in need.

Home Base

40% of Americans are not able to cover a $400 emergency expense, making the threat of eviction just one paycheck away. Stopping this pipeline into housing insecurity is critical to fighting our community's crisis of people experiencing homelessness.

In December 2018, we announced Home Base, an initiative in partnership with United Way of King County and the King County Bar Association that provides emergency funds to pay rent for those in need, social workers to connect people to other services and develop a long-term plan and volunteer legal representation to help navigate the process.

We provided an initial $3 million in funding to launch the program; United Way has since scaled this investment to more than $10 million through additional funding from the public and private sectors to help provide security for thousands of people in our community.
