PHOENIX -- On the cusp of putting their longest losing streak of the season to bed, the Dodgers instead fell in painful fashion when the D-backs walked them off, 4-3, on Friday night at Chase Field.
The Dodgers have lost seven straight games, their longest skid since also dropping seven in a row in July 2025.
After trailing for much of the contest, L.A. jumped ahead on a go-ahead homer from Andy Pages in the top of the eighth inning. Setup man Tanner Scott kept the Dodgers in front despite a hairy eighth inning in which he had to wriggle out of a bases-loaded jam.
But closer Edwin Díaz, who has been shaky since his return from the 60-day IL, could not slam the door on Arizona. After issuing a leadoff walk, Díaz surrendered a one-out walk-off home run to Ryan Waldschmidt.
