SEATTLE -- That time of year is almost here, as the Mariners prepare to report to Arizona for Spring Training.
Here are some questions ahead of camp as they attempt to avenge a tough finish to 2025, falling one win shy of a World Series berth after a deep postseason run.

• Feb. 12: WBC position players report
• Feb. 16: Non-WBC position players report
• Feb. 17: First full-squad workout
Where is the team’s facility?
The Peoria Sports Complex is located in the West Valley of the greater Phoenix area, about 20 miles northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It’s at 16101 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria, Ariz., 85382.
Can fans attend workouts?
Yes, workouts are free and open to the public. The Mariners’ back fields in Peoria are among the most accessible in the league.
Who are some new faces fans should know?
The Mariners’ splashiest free agent deal this offseason is actually one that many in Seattle know by now -- but Spring Training should allow fans to connect even more with Josh Naylor after he signed a five-year, $92.5 million contract.
The other prominent addition is infielder/outfielder Brendan Donovan, whom they just acquired from the Cardinals as part of a three-team trade that included the Rays. Other free agents brought in include veteran Rob Refsnyder (one-year, $6.25 million deal), who will be in the mix at designated hitter, corner outfield and among Naylor’s backups, and catcher Andrew Knizner (one-year, $1 million), who will be Cal Raleigh's primary backup.
Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp?
No team has more among MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects entering 2026 than the Mariners, and all six among Seattle’s youngsters will be in Major League camp as non-roster invites: INF Colt Emerson (No. 9), LHP Kade Anderson (No. 23), OF Lazaro Montes (No. 29), RHP Ryan Sloan (No. 44), 2B Michael Arroyo (No. 63) and OF Jonny Farmelo (No. 75).
When is the team’s first Cactus League game?
As they do most years, the Mariners open their spring slate against the Padres, the club that they share the Peoria Sports Complex with, on Friday, Feb. 20, with first pitch slated for 12:10 p.m. PT. Tickets are on sale now.
What are a few other notable spring games?
The opener against the Padres is always a fun one, but that should be particularly true this year given that San Diego is coming off another postseason appearance and enters the year of heightened expectations. They also play the defending champion Dodgers just three days later, on Feb. 23 at Camelback Ranch. Beyond those, Seattle’s games against the AL West in spring are always worth watching, too, to gauge how they stack up against the rest of the division.
What is Spring Breakout and when is the game?
After much success in its first two years, MLB Spring Breakout is back for 2026. The multi-day event showcases baseball’s future -- the current stars of Minor League Baseball. A sizable 68 of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 overall prospects last year participated.
This year’s edition will be held from March 19-22 at Grapefruit and Cactus League stadiums, featuring a series of 16 exhibition games between teams composed of each organization's top 20-25 prospects. The goal is to create a new touchpoint on the baseball calendar that celebrates the sport’s budding talent.
The Mariners’ Spring Breakout game is on Friday, March 20, against the Brewers at American Family Fields of Phoenix.
Will the team’s games be televised?
The Mariners unveiled their broadcasting plans for 2026 last weekend -- with no blackouts -- which will include a streaming option via Mariners.TV for $19.99/month or $99.99/year as well as traditional cable, satellite and internet TV providers, though specific providers won’t be announced until closer to Opening Day. Fans can also watch games on MLB.TV.
However, the Mariners have not yet announced which Cactus League games will be broadcast.
When is the club’s final game in Arizona?
Monday, March 23, against the Padres in Peoria.
Will there be any additional exhibitions before the regular season?
Unlike some years past, the Mariners will not have any other exhibitions leading up to the regular season.
What are the details for Opening Day?
Thursday, March 26, at 7:10 p.m. PT against the Guardians at T-Mobile Park.
