Expected return: 2026
Status: Continues with the bullpen portion of his recovery ramp-up, having thrown seven. Has felt great as the rehab process moves forward. (Last updated: May 6)

Injury: Left calf strain
IL date: May 4, retroative to May 2 (10-day injured list)
Expected return: Late May
Status: Hays had just come back from an IL stint due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain before first feeling this injury on the off-day of April 30. (Last updated: May 4)
RHP Shane Smith
Injury: Right rotator cuff strain
Expected return: Late May/beginning of June
Status: The White Sox Opening Day starter left his last start for Triple-A Charlotte on April 30 due to the shoulder issue. It’s the first time Smith has dealt with this malady this season. (Last updated: May 3)
OF Everson Pereira
Injury: Right pectoral strain

Expected return: Late May
Status: Manager Will Venable wasn’t sure when Pereira suffered the injury during an April 28 win over the Angels. But it was bothering Pereira both hitting and throwing. (Last updated: April 29)

Injury: Left shoulder dislocation

Expected return: 2027
Status: Suffered a fracture diving to make a catch on April 26, and will require surgery. He will be out 4-6 months. (Last updated: April 27)

Injury: Right elbow soreness
IL date: March 25 (transferred to 60-day IL on April 8)
Expected return: 2027
Status: Elected to undergo a season-ending UCL internal brace procedure on April 1. Expected to be ready by Spring Training. (Last updated: April 8)
RHP Mike Vasil
Injury: Tommy John surgery
