Phillies and SEI elves wrap presents for military families

On Thursday morning, the Media Room at Citizens Bank Park became Phanta Claus’ workshop! Hundreds of toys and Phillies giveaways, gathered by the Phillies’ community outreach team, were put through an assembly line of Phillies and SEI volunteers who wrapped and packed them to be given out at next week’s Military Appreciation Holiday Party taking place at the ballpark.

Phanta Claus had some special guest helpers, including 1993 National League champions Mickey Morandini and Milt Thomspon (also 2008 World Series champion hitting coach), 1980 World Series champion Dickie Noles and Phillies Ambassador Scott Palmer, as well as the Phillies Ballgirls.

The event is part of the Phillies Season of Giving presented by SEI, a month-long initiative to affect positive change in the community and celebrate the holiday season with various charitable events.
