On December 2, the Reds Community Fund is proud to participate in #GivingTuesday. The global day of giving invites individuals to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season by giving back and initiating change in their communities and their world. Together, we can make a difference.
This year the Reds Community Fund will be raising money for scholarships to benefit the graduating high school seniors in the Reds Nike RBI program. There are 32 high school seniors currently participating in the program.
By participating in the Reds Nike RBI Program (Major League Baseball’s “Reviving Baseball and Softball in Inner Cities”), high school students are automatically enrolled in an educational component called RCF Scholars. This year-long program takes place at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy and combines individualized high-level baseball and softball training with academic support and life skills development for each 9th through 12th grade student-athletes.
The goal of RCF Scholars is to provide the students with the tools to succeed both on and off the field and supporting the next generation of Major League citizens.
RCF Scholars was launched four years ago and throughout the program’s history, a total of 71 scholarships have been distributed – totaling close to $100,000 in support. In 2025, the program anticipates awarding over $48,000 to the 32 graduating seniors.
A donation of any size — $25, $50, $100, or more — brings these students closer to their goals. Every contribution adds up to transformative, life-changing support.
On this #GivingTuesday, you can double your impact thanks to a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000 by the Reds Community Fund Board of Directors.

Each year, the Cincinnati Reds and the Reds Community Fund impact thousands of lives throughout Reds Country. Below you will find information on the many programs and initiatives that our players, coaches, executives and staff participate in throughout the year.
Ohio residents can support the RCF's initiatives and show their Reds pride with specialty Cincinnati Reds license plates. Plates are just $35 in addition to standard registration fees and represent a tax-deductible donation of approximately $25 to the Reds Community Fund.
You can make a donation to the Reds Community Fund just by shopping at your local Kroger. Select the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund as your charity of choice and swipe your Kroger Plus Card while shopping. It's simple - just sign into your Kroger Plus Card and enroll or update your Community Rewards under your account settings (organization number 82592).
As you consider your year-end donation, we hope that you'll remember the impact that the Reds have had on your life and consider making a donation to the Reds Community Fund. 100% of your donation will support youth baseball and softball. All donations are tax deductible. Your gift can be unrestricted or earmarked for one of our six outreach initiatives. You can also make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one.
You can also help make a difference by volunteering to assist with Reds Community Fund programs. Whether it's coaching and mentoring youth players at the Reds Youth Academy or selling Split the Pot tickets at games, you can make an impact in many ways.
