Step up to the plate and show off your Major League Skills! Join us for an exclusive batting practice experience on the field at Great American Ball Park.
Big Red Swings is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 29. In addition to taking BP on the field, you can enjoy a host of other fun activities throughout the day!
The event begins at 9 a.m., with the option to choose your hourly time slot for the batting practice portion.
Online sales are no longer available. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the event on Saturday. The only available time slot for in person purchases is 12:00 p.m. Please arrive by 11:30 a.m. to get registered. Slots subject to availability.
Batting Practice Session Times
- Session 1: 9:00AM - 9:55AM
- Session 2: 10:00AM - 10:55AM
- Session 3: 11:00AM - 11:55AM
- Session 4: 12:00PM - 12:55PM
Please note: These are batting session times only. You will be able to take advantage of other activities before or after your batting practice session!
Ticket Details
- Participant Ticket: $150 (Ages 12+)
- Participant Ticket: $100 (Ages 5-11)
- Spectator Ticket: $25

Know Before You Go
Here are some additional details and reminders if you have already registered or are planning to sign up at the event.
Parking & Entry
Parking is available in the Central Riverfront Garage (328 Mehring Way) located underneath Great American Ball Park. Parking admission is not included. All guests will enter through the Diamond Club Entrance located in the Central Riverfront Parking Garage on Level P2. Must use entrance off Mehring Way. Upon entry, stay to the left of the ramp and head straight on Level P2. Follow signs to Diamond Club Entrance. Once parked, enter via the Diamond Club Entrance. Please have your tickets pulled up and ready to scan. Tickets can be found in the MLB Ballpark App.
Registration / Check-In
Once you enter, you will check-in for your session. Each session will receive a different color wristband. All participants will be required to sign a waiver. Parent/Guardian must accompany minors for them to be able to participate.
Pro Tips for the Best Day
• Arrive early or stay late! It is recommended to do your batting session first, then enjoy other activities.
• On-field BP will be restricted by session time.
• Wear comfortable, athletic clothing (NO CLEATS).
• Be ready to capture plenty of photos—there will be countless major-league moments you won’t want to miss.
Activity Guidelines
• Minimum age to bat: 5 years old
• Closed-toe shoes are recommended (Cleats are strictly prohibited)
• Helmets and bats will be provided or bring your own!
