What precautionary steps are you taking?

Following current state and city guidelines, the White Sox have designed a gameday experience to provide fans with the best and safest experience possible at Guaranteed Rate Field. Several new public health and safety measures will be in place during the 2021 season, including, but not limited to:

  • Masks required to be worn by everyone in indoor spaces of the ballpark
  • Strict no-congregating enforcement
  • Physical distancing
  • No bags (except for small clutch purses under 9"x5" in size, medical bags and diaper bags when an infant is present)
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols
  • Numerous hand sanitizers
  • Mobile ticketing
  • Cashless transactions

What is the mask policy?

Face coverings or masks are recommended but not required for fans who are fully vaccinated except in indoor spaces of the ballpark where masks are required for all guests (including Chicago Sports Depot, restrooms, hallways and other indoor spaces). For the comfort and safety of all guests at Guaranteed Rate Field, fans who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear a face covering or mask throughout the ballpark property.

Are you adjusting your autograph policy?

Due to health and safety precautions for our players, coaches and players will not be able to sign autographs in 2021.

Will I have my temperature taken each game?

Fans will not be subject to temperature screenings prior to entering Guaranteed Rate Field. However, any fan who, within 14 days prior to a game (1) tested positive or presumptively positive for COVID-19; (2) experienced any symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19; and/or (3) was in direct contact with or the immediate vicinity of any person who is either confirmed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19 should not attend a game at Guaranteed Rate Field. Are any in-park activations down?

The Goose Island Craft Kave and Revolution Brewing #SoxSocial Tap Room will be open to fans for concession items only. There are no check-in offers at the Tap Room at this time. The Xfinity Kids Zone, ChiSox Bar and Grill and speed pitch will remain closed.

Will I be able to go anywhere in the park or will I be restricted in any way?

To avoid crowding, fans will not be able to move between levels.

How will accessing the restrooms be different?

Additional staff is present at restroom facilities to regulate entry and direct guests to designated entry and exit points. Dedicated cleaning teams will provide frequent cleaning of high-touch services.

Will there be a re-entry policy?

Fans will not be able to leave the ballpark and re-enter for any reason, including access to smoking sections.

Will I have to be vaccinated or have a negative COVID test to enter?

No, fans do not need to have the COVID vaccine or a negative COVID test to enter Guaranteed Rate Field.

Will there still be fans at BP?

Fans present for batting practice will not be permitted to leave their ticketed seat or pod.

Are you still able to bring water into the ballpark?

Fans are permitted to bring a plastic, factory-sealed bottle of water, one liter in size or less. In order to ensure maximum protection of fans and staff, fans are not permitted to eat or drink outside of their ticketed seats.

Tickets

What is pod seating?

In accordance with the city and state physical distancing measures, seats are sold and distributed in pods with an open seat between pods within the same row. Seats are sold and distributed in pods. Physically distanced pod seating allows fans to buy tickets as a group. Gameday staff will be present to remind guests to stay in their seats and pods.

Will I be able to use a printed ticket?

Mobile entry is the safest way to enter Guaranteed Rate Field. All transactions will be ticketless. No hard tickets will be available.

Will the schedule be changing at all (games moving, etc.)?

Although we do not currently anticipate changes to the schedule, the scheduling of all games remains subject to change. In the event a game is canceled due to required reduction in seating capacity or a decrease in the number of White Sox regular season home games played at Guaranteed Rate Field, Season Ticket Holders and Group Outing Ticket Holders who purchase directly from the White Sox are guaranteed the option of either crediting their White Sox Account for future purchases or receiving a refund in the same manner their tickets were obtained.

How do I access my mobile tickets?

Fans can store and access tickets via their White Sox Account Manager or Ticketmaster account. Visit whitesox.com/mobiletickets for more information.

How do I share mobile tickets with others?

Fans can forward tickets via their White Sox Account Manager or Ticketmaster account. Fans are only permitted to forward tickets within their pod.

Screenshots are not an approved method for the transfer of tickets and we recommend all transfers be done through the White Sox or Ticketmaster system.

What if I need to resell my tickets?

To ensure the safety of all fans, pod integrity must be maintained if you resell or transfer your tickets. For example, if your pod size is 4, you are encouraged to sell all 4 tickets together.

What access will there be to ADA seats?

ADA seating will still be available for fans to purchase and for day of game relocations.

What is the best way to get more information about tickets?

The White Sox front office continues to work remotely at this time, but fans will receive immediate responses by e-mailing [email protected] or contacting their White Sox sales representatives. Fans also can register for the White Sox Ticket Availability Alert e-mail at whitesox.com/safety.
