Peavy to host charity jam session in Chicago
KANSAS CITY -- White Sox right-hander Jake Peavy will host the first "Jake Peavy and Friends Charity Jam" at Joe's Bar and Restaurant in Chicago on Sunday night at 8 p.m. CT.
The event, which will raise money for charity to help the fight to end cancer, will feature live country music from Peavy and several Nashville recording artists. There will be a live auction and raffle, appetizers and a VIP buffet dinner with additional White Sox players expected to attend.
Drew Walker of WUSN Chicago will serve as the master of ceremonies.
