FAQ

The following are some frequently asked questions regarding our clinic program. If you cannot find the answer to your question or would like to speak with someone in more detail, please direct questions to [email protected].

CLINIC BASICS

What are the clinic hours?

The clinic will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

What does my ballplayer need to bring to camp?

The Atlanta Braves will provide a Braves Baseball Clinic jersey and hat to each player. Players should arrive wearing athletic shorts or pants and bring a glove, hat, and helmet.

Guardians or athletes should label all personal equipment with your ballplayer's first initial and last name. Your ballplayer should bring:

  • Baseball or softball glove
  • Cleats and athletic shoes
  • Sunscreen is encouraged
  • Water bottle already filled with water

What is the age range for ballplayers?

All children between 6 and 12 years old are welcome at Braves Clinics.

Do ballplayers need prior experience?

We do not have ability or experience requirements; we welcome ballplayers of all experience levels - from first-time ballplayers to travel team players.

What is the ballplayer to counselor ratio at Braves Youth Clinics?

We aim to provide an environment where ballplayers benefit from both individual and small group learning and instruction. For all our ballplayers, our goal is to maintain a ballplayer to coach ratio of approximately 8:1 in their age grouping.

REGISTRATION

Do I receive a confirmation when I register?

Once you register and pay for your clinic session(s), you will receive a confirmation email for your records. This email serves as your confirmation of registration for the clinic.

Will I receive additional information about the clinic after I register?

  • As we approach each clinic, we'll be communicating further details to get you and your ballplayer fully prepared for the clinic via email. Email communication will be shared with the primary account email address provided at registration. If you registered for camp and did not receive a confirmation email, please contact us at [email protected].

The week before the clinic, we'll send out more detailed information, including drop-off location and instructions, procedures for check-in, as well as friendly tips and reminders.

Do you accept "walk-up" registrations?

Because we expect each clinic to sell out, we do not accept walk-up registrations. All registrations must be completed online prior to the camp beginning.

What are Braves Clinics policies on refunds, credits, and transfers?

Due to limited enrollment and the popularity of Braves Clinic programs, no refunds will be offered after payment is made. The only refund we will issue is if both days of camps are canceled due to inclement weather or public health concerns.

When will my ballplayer(s) receive a uniform?

All ballplayers will be provided an official Braves Clinic jersey and hat. Ballplayers should come dressed as follows:

  • Regular T-shirt (regular cotton or performance wear)
  • Athletic shorts, sweatpants, or baseball pants
  • Shoes and cleats of choice

Does my child need to wear their uniform every day?

Ballplayers are expected to wear their issued Braves Clinic uniform during the clinic.

Does Braves Clinic provide sunscreen?

We encourage participants to bring their own sunscreen.

Can parents come to watch the clinic activities?

Parents may watch the clinic, but all spectators must follow all Covid-19 Health regulations and guidelines provided by the CDC.
