In 2012, the D-backs launched D-backs Science of Baseball, presented by Resolution Copper, a series of programs and initiatives promoting STEM's importance (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Recognizing that STEM is a priority within the community and the education system, the D-backs created season-long programming and partnership opportunities designed to engage with teachers, schools, and students.

STEM Dugout
The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation created the STEM Dugout, presented by Resolution Copper, to help promote baseball’s inclusion of science, technology, engineering and math to kids visiting Chase Field.
Located on Chase Field’s upper concourse near section 327, kids can stop by the STEM Dugout every home game to learn STEM-related facts, play baseball-themed games and take photos in the dugout next to manager Torey Lovullo. Local STEM-promoting non-profits and groups activate at the STEM Dugout throughout the season, offering fans of all ages the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of STEM displays.
