ENTRY FEE:

  • Single A Division: $265 per team
  • Double A Division: $315 per team
  • Triple A Boys Baseball: $365 per team
  • Triple A Girls Softball: $365 per team

DIVISIONS/AGES:

  • Single A Division: Ages 9 - 12 years
    Youth born between May 31, 2005 and May 30, 2009
  • Double A Division: Ages 13 - 15 years
    Youth born between May 31, 2002 and May 30, 2005 - 12 year-olds may play in the Double A Division with the completion of the Double A Division 12-year-old Consent Form
  • Triple A Boys Baseball: High school Freshmen - Seniors
    Youth Graduating in 2018, '19, '20, '21
    Youth who graduated in 2017 may participate if:
    • They were born after May 31, 1998
    • They have not competed at any collegiate or professional level
  • Triple A Girls Softball: High school Freshmen - Seniors
    Youth Graduating in 2018, '19, '20, '21
    Youth who graduated in 2017 may participate if:
    • They were born after May 31, 1998
    • They have not competed at any collegiate or professional level

PROOF OF AGE:
Proof of age and grade level must be available at the start of the tournament and submitted upon request throughout the duration of the tournament.

PROOF OF NATIVE AMERICAN BLOOD:
This is an all-Native American tournament, which requires official proof of Native American blood that must be available throughout the tournament. Proof can be a CIB number or a copy of the parent's and participant's birth certificates with the parent's Cl B number. Teams may be inter-tribal.

ROSTERS:
Team rosters must have a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 15 players .

TEAM REGISTRATION:
Advanced registration is required and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018. Spaces in the tournament will be filled on a first come first served basis and spaces are limited . The first paid entries, including information will be registered. Entry fee must be paid by money order or online at dbacks.com/intertribal. Personal checks will not be accepted. Registration fees are non-refundable.

Tournament Format

All divisions (pending registration numbers) will be a round robin (pool play) tournament with a single elimination championship round. Each team is guaranteed three games in the tournament.

Tournament Awards

  • First Place: Team receives team and individual trophies during pregame recognition at Chase Field
  • Second Place: Team receives team trophy during pregame recognition at Chase Field
  • Third Place: Team receives team trophy during pregame recognition at Chase Field

Individual awards are given out to the top players in all divisions.

EQUIPMENT
Teams must provide their own equipment, such as bats, gloves, batting helmets and catchers' equipment. Batting helmets are required for all batters and base runners. Game balls will be provided by the tournament officials.

SCHEDULING
Due to the number of teams and field availability, the game times will be strictly enforced. To avoid forfeit, teams should be prepared to play with team rosters and lineups in hand no less than 15 minutes prior to game time. Please note that there is the possibility of playing twice in one day as well as double-headers.

THURSDAY, MAY 31

  • 8:00 a.m. Coach's Check-In
    This is a mandatory meeting for all coaches. At this meeting coaches will receive pool play schedules, directions/maps, rules and tickets to the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Miami Marlins, Native American Recognition Day presented by Gila River Casinos. The meeting will take place at the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Recreation Center. Please arrive on time!
  • 11:00 a.m. Tournament Play Begins
    Please see your tournament pool and bracket schedules for times and locations. Pool schedules will be posted at  dbacks.com/intertribal  prior to the tournament.

FRIDAY, JUNE 1

  • 7:30 a.m. Tournament Play continues

SATURDAY, JUNE 2

    Championship games for all divisions are played.

SUNDAY, JUNE 3

  • 10:00 a.m. Native American Recognition Day presented by Gila River Casinos & Tournament Closing Ceremonies

    Native American Recognition Day presented by Gila River Casinos at Chase Field celebrates the rich Native American culture including performances and entertainment in the ballpark. An inter-tribal cast of youth will showcase dance, song and spirit in a specially-produced pre-game ceremony. Part of this pre-game ceremony will be the Tournament Closing Ceremonies parade for all tournament participants and the trophy presentation for tournament winners.

    Each team will receive 20 compIimentary tickets to the Native American Recognition Day presented by Gila River Casinos and Tournament Closing Ceremonies. Teams should be in uniform and team flags displayed. Please note this event is required for all teams regardless of tournament results.

    Family and friends can purchase additional tickets to Native American Recognition Day presented by Gila River Casinos and Tournament Closing Ceremonies and the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Miami Marlins game by calling (602) 462-4113.

Accommodations

Each team is responsible for making its own lodging arrangements. It is recommended that teams make arrangements for Wednesday, May 30 - Sunday, June 3 (4 nights).
