Seattle Mariners agree to terms with 15 draft picks

Mariners have signed 28 of 40 selections from the June Draft.

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle Mariners Director of Amateur Scouting Tom McNamara announced today the club has agreed to terms with 15 selections from the 2013 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft.

Seattle has now signed 28 of the team's 40 picks from the June Amateur Draft, including 10 players in the first 12 rounds.

Left-Handed Pitcher (6):

Ryan Horstman (4th round), Eddie Campbell (15th round), Paul Fry (17th round), Will Mathis (25th round), Tyler Wright (26th round), Michaelangelo Guzman (31st round)

Right-Handed Pitcher (3):

Zack Littell (11th round), Troy Scott (18th round), Tommy Burns (22nd round)

Infielder (3):

Lonnie Kauppila (16th round), Zach Shank (28th round), Jordan Cowan (37th round)

Outfielder (1):

Ian Miller (14th round)

Catcher (2):

Daniel Torres (20th round), Kyle Petty (23rd round)

The 15 signed players will report to the following minor league clubs:

AZL Mariners (8) - Burns, Cowan, Fry, Guzman, Kauppila, Littell, Petty, Torres

Pulaski Mariners (5) - Campbell, Mathis, Miller, Scott, Shank

Everett AquaSox (2) - Hortsman, Wright

The Mariners have until Friday, July 12 at 2 p.m. (PT) to sign players selected in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft.
