SEATTLE -- For the second straight season, Mariners left fielder is headed to the Midsummer Classic, which takes place in Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park on July 14.

And for good reason. He leads all qualified Mariners hitters in every slash-line category, with a clip of .287/.376/.453 (.829 OPS), to go with nine homers, 21 doubles, one triple, 19 stolen bases and 41 RBIs after Saturday’s 11-0 win over the Blue Jays.

"I think for me, just sharing that locker room, being surrounded by all these different stars around the league, and also having the family there,” said Arozarena when asked what he enjoys most about being an All-Star. "It lets you know all the hard work you've put in throughout the season -- or even before the season started -- that you're going in the right direction."

"I see it as a mixture of all the discipline, all the work, everything I've done. The teammates that have helped me, especially the fans, I use them as a motor to energize me out there.”

Arozarena is an All-Star for the third time in his career. He was named the starting left fielder for the American League in 2023, representing the Rays at T-Mobile Park. He also was the runner-up in the 2023 Home Run Derby, losing out to champion Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the final round.

He was traded to Seattle in July 2024 in a blockbuster deal and quickly made an impact. In his first full season with the Mariners in 2025, he slashed .238/.334/.426 with career highs in homers (27) and stolen bases (31). He earned his second bid to the All-Star Game as a replacement for teammate Julio Rodríguez that season.

As of now, he’s the only representative for Seattle.

Something to know: Arozarena is also seeking his sixth straight 20/20 season, and he is one of just 10 players in MLB history to achieve the feat in five straight seasons.
