Double-A, High-A and Single-A are underway! Here's everything to know

Away we go!

By the end of Friday night, every Minor League league will be in full swing for the 2026 season.

The Triple-A leagues -- the International League and the Pacific Coast League -- have been underway since last week. Every full-season league except two got started on Thursday. For the High-A Northwest League and the Double-A Southern League, Opening Day is Friday.

That means the highest-ranked prospect who's yet to play in a competitive game this year will take the field, as 18-year-old Jesús Made (MIL No. 1/MLB No. 3) leads Biloxi against vs. Rocket City (LAA) in the Southern League.

New rules coming to the Minors this season
Several experimental rule changes will be introduced during the 2026 Minor League season. The new rules will be implemented in various ways across different MiLB levels.
