Washington Nationals to Unveil 2019 World Series Rings during First-Ever Virtual Championship Ring Ceremony

May 19th, 2020

The Washington Nationals will unveil their 2019 World Series championship rings during an historic virtual celebration on Sunday, May 24 at 7 p.m. ET, the first virtual championship ring ceremony in MLB history.

The hour-long celebration, presented by Budweiser, will be simulcast on Nationals.com, MLB Network, MASN, and the Nationals' Facebook and YouTube channels. The show will feature appearances from several members of the 2019 World Series championship team, Nationals ownership, and notable DMV personalities.

“We could not be more excited to finally share our 2019 World Series Champions rings with our players, staff, and fans! The various elements of the ring truly capture the Washington Nationals story and the craftsmanship is unparalleled,” said Mark D. Lerner, managing principal owner of the Washington Nationals.

Not only will the virtual ring ceremony give Nationals fans a chance to celebrate the 2019 World Series champions, but it will also provide them with an opportunity to come together in support of those in need. An estimated one in ten people in the Washington, D.C. region do not know where their next meal will come from. Leading up to and during the ceremony, fans are invited to donate to the NATS4GOOD Community Response Fund to support hunger relief by texting RELIEF to 91347 or visiting nationals.com/Relief. Every tax-deductible donation will be passed along in full to hunger relief partners at World Central Kitchen and Capital Area Food Bank. With each donation, fans can share a message of support for the Nationals and the community and have the opportunity to be a part of this historic celebration with select messages featured during the ring ceremony program.

In addition to the virtual ring ceremony, Nationals fans are invited to relive the excitement of the 2019 Postseason during a special two-part presentation of Improbable, a brand-new documentary produced by Curly W Productions that takes fans behind the scenes of last year’s incredible run to the World Series, presented by Budweiser. Part one of the documentary will air at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 23 and part two will air on Sunday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m. ET, right before the virtual ring ceremony. Fans will be able to watch the documentary on Nationals.com and MASN.
