LATEST INJURIES
INF Cody Freeman
Injury: Lumbar stress reaction
Expected return: Late March or early April
Status: The infielder felt something earlier this week, and the Rangers planned to give him a couple days off. He still didn’t feel great, so he was sent for scans. He will be down 4-6 weeks minimum before re-evaluation. (Last updated: Feb. 21)
RHP Winston Santos (Rangers' No. 3 prospect)
Injury: Left hand fracture
Expected return: Late March, at the earliest
Status: Took a comebacker off the bat of Kyle Higashioka in live batting practice earlier this week. He’ll be out for about four weeks. (Last updated: Feb. 21)
UTIL Michael Helman
Injury: Hip/groin
Expected return: Late February
Status: Has a hip/groin “thing,” according to manager Skip Schumaker. Should return to Cactus League action within a week. (Last updated: Feb. 21)
LHP Cody Bradford
Injury: Left UCL surgery
Expected return: Mid-May
Status: Has thrown multiple bullpens throughout the start of camp. Should be ready for a Minor League rehab assignment as the 2026 season opens. (Last updated: Feb. 20)
RHP Marc Church (Rangers' No. 20 prospect)
Injury: Right shoulder fatigue
Expected return: TBD
Status: Continuing to rehab a shoulder injury that kept him sidelined for much of 2025. He should begin throwing bullpens before the end of camp. (Last updated: Feb. 20)
LHP Jordan Montgomery
Injury: Left UCL surgery
Expected return: Early August
Status: Signed to a Major League deal on Feb. 13, though is continuing to rehab from Tommy John surgery. Should be back on a big league mound around the Trade Deadline. (Last updated: Feb. 20)
RHP Emiliano Teodo (Rangers' No. 11 prospect)
Injury: Back soreness
Expected return: Start of Triple-A season
Status: Continuing to rehab a back injury that kept him sidelined for much of 2025. Teodo is behind in his throwing progression, but should return by the start of the Triple-A season. (Last updated: Feb. 20)
