Xavier University is the Official University of the Reds!
Together, Xavier and the Reds are enhancing academic opportunities for students and creating new pathways for hands-on learning connected to one of Major League Baseball’s most historic franchises.
As the Official University of the Reds, Xavier students gain access to real-world learning experiences, from exclusive internships and job-shadowing opportunities to on-campus engagement with Reds professionals. Each year, a significant number of students will be selected for immersive internships within the Reds organization, working alongside front-office leaders in communications and marketing, promotional events and operations, business analytics, fan engagement, and sales.

If you’re back in town for the Fall semester, there’s still time to catch the Reds! For all remaining Reds home games, Xavier students can save with $15 Upper View Level tickets!
Ways To Save On Reds Games
In addition to the Xavier student offer, there are plenty of ways you can save on Reds games this season!
Promotions include:
- “Tarps Off” Budweiser 3-2-1 Tuesdays – for all Tuesday home games, enjoy $3 beers, $2 hot dogs and $1 ice cream cups
- Thirsty Thursdays – for all Thursday home games, get a discounted package that includes a lower level ticket and $10 in concession credits
- All You Can Eat Stand Pass – For as low as $26.50 per person, enjoy unlimited sodas, popcorn, peanuts, chips and up to 5 hot dogs.
How To Get To The Ballpark
There are several options for arriving at the ballpark to see the Reds in action!
- Downtown Parking – A number of surface and garage parking options are available north of Third Street with easy access that are just a short walk to the ballpark.
- Rideshare Drop Off – Fans taking a rideshare to the game are recommended to south of the ballpark along Mehring Way for easiest access.
- Cincinnati Bell Connector – The free streetcar has a stop at the corner of Second Street and Joe Nuxhall Way just steps from the ballpark.

Partnership Announcement

In January 2026, Xavier and the Reds announced their new 10-year commitment that made Xavier the Official University of the Reds. This long-term partnership brings together two of Cincinnati’s most storied and influential institutions, building on their shared strengths and deep roots in the region. The joint venture reflects a shared belief that Cincinnati thrives when its institutions work together to invest in talent, innovation, and the next generation of leaders.
Past Xavier & Reds Events
2026 Xavier Night
On April 24, the Reds hosted Xavier Night at Great American Ball Park! The first 500 fans to purchase a ticket received an exclusive co-branded Xavier and Reds hat and pregame festivities celebrated Xavier pride.










2026 Xavier vs. Creighton Game
On May 14, fans were treated to a Reds-Xavier doubleheader! After the Reds beat the Nationals, fans had the opportunity to continue their afternoon at Great American Ball Park and take in a Big East showdown with Xavier vs. Creighton.






Xavier Partnership Kickoff
On January 14, the Reds and Xavier University celebrated their partnership during the XU vs. Butler basketball game, with festivities that included Reds All-Star pitcher Andrew Abbott firing off T-shirts to Xavier fans in the stands.
Later in the game, Cincinnati native, National Baseball Hall of Famer and Reds Hall of Famer Barry Larkin took the court to swap jerseys with his brother Byron, the most decorated player in XU history who is a Xavier Hall of Fame and the first-ever Musketeer player to have his jersey retired.
