Funeral for Brock set for Sat. in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS -- Lou Brock’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday in St. Louis, the family announced via the Cardinals on Thursday. Brock, one of the greatest Cardinals of all time, passed away on Sunday at the age of 81.

A private service will be held at Greater Grace Church in Ferguson, Mo., on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT. Fans can view a live stream of the service at cardinals.com.

At around 9:30 a.m., the Brock family will lay a wreath at the Lou Brock Statue at Lindenwood University, and then they will lead a funeral procession from Lindenwood to Greater Grace Church. After the church service, the family will lead a procession to Busch Stadium, where they will lay a wreath at the Lou Brock statue outside of the stadium at approximately 1:30 p.m.

A public viewing will be held at the Austin A. Layne Mortuary in St. Louis on Friday from 5-8 p.m. CT. For all events, COVID-19 protocols will be observed, including mask wearing and social distancing.
