AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST

Blue Jays: Samad Taylor, 2B (No. 24) -- 1-for-3, HR, RBI (Class A Advanced Dunedin)
Taylor, 20, hit his first homer of the season. The second baseman has been having a tough go of things offensively and may be looking for that home run to jumpstart his season. Taylor is hitting. 148 this season after hitting .228 in 121 games last year.

Orioles: Ryan Mountcastle, 3B (No. 2, MLB No. 69) -- 2-for-5, HR, 3 RBI (Triple-A Norfolk)
Mountcastle got off to a bit of a slow start this season, but after hitting his first Triple-A homer, he appears to be turning a corner. The 22-year-old is 5-for-13 over his past three games after going 3-for-24 over the prior seven games.

Rays: Jesus Sanchez, OF (No. 4, MLB No. 37) -- 3-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI (Double-A Montgomery)
Sanchez led the way in Montgomery's 6-2 win over Mobile. The 21-year-old picked up his first double of the season and is hitting .325 this year, going 6-for-12 over the past three days.

Red Sox: Tanner Houck, RHP (No. 6) -- 5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 3 K (Double-A Portland)
Houck got roughed up for seven runs on 11 hits in his first start so this bounceback effort was certainly needed. The 2017 first-rounder is getting his first taste of Double-A after spending the 2018 season with Class A Advanced Salem, where he posted a 4.24 ERA over 23 starts.

Yankees: Thairo Estrada, SS/2B (No. 19) -- 2-for-5, RBI (Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes/Barre)
Estrada has multiple hits in three straight games and appears to have found his offensive rhythm. After starting the season 2-for-18, Estrada has picked up the pace and is hitting 8-for-19 (.421) over the past four games.

AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL

Indians: Daniel Johnson, OF (No. 22) -- 3-for-5, 2 2B, 4 RBI (Double-A Akron)
Johnson has now driven in four runs in back-to-back games and is 5-for-8 at the plate in that span. The 23-year-old impressed the Indians during Spring Training and if he keeps raking like this, it likely won't be long until he is bumped up to Triple-A and eventually to Cleveland.

Royals: Kyle Isbel, OF (No. 10) -- 3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI (Class A Advanced Wilmington)
Isbel extended his hitting streak to seven games with his first three-hit game of the year. The 22-year-old has multiple hits in five games during that streak and is hitting .390 through the first 11 games of his first full season.

Tigers: Tarik Skubal, LHP (No. 20) -- 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 K (Class A Advanced Lakeland)
Skubal, a ninth-round pick from the 2018 Draft, set a career high for strikeouts, but the strong outing shouldn't be a huge surprise. The 22-year-old went 3-0 and posted a 0.40 ERA in nine appearances last year and is off to a strong start in 2019, having given up just two runs in 14 innings (three starts). Skubal has also racked up 20 strikeouts this year and issued just three walks.

Twins: Akil Baddoo, OF (No. 12) -- 3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI (Class A Advanced Fort Myers)
Baddoo posted multiple hits and RBIs for the second time in as many nights. The outfielder got off to a slow start and is hitting .209, but he's 5-for-9 with a homer and four RBIs over the past two games.

White Sox: Nick Madrigal, 2B (No. 5, MLB No. 45) -- 3-for-4, 2B (Class A Advanced Winston Salem)
Madrigal has at least one extra-base hit in three straight games, during which he went 8-for-12 at the plate. The 2018 first-rounder is hitting .351 through eight games after hitting .303 through 43 games last season in his professional debut.

AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST

A’s: Brian Howard, RHP (No. 21) -- 6 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 2 K (Double-A Midland)
Howard has strung together back-to-back scoreless starts for the RockHounds and has a 0.56 ERA through three starts this year. Howard posted a 3.48 ERA through 12 starts with Midland last year after beginning the year with Class A Advanced Stockton.

Angels: Jose Soriano, RHP (No. 13) -- 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K (Class A Burlington)
Pitching at the Class A level for a second time, Soriano is off to a strong start in 2019. The 20-year-old has given up three earned runs in 11 2/3 innings and also racked up 12 strikeouts. However, he's also issued eight walks.

Astros: Bryan Abreu, RHP (No. 8) -- 4.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 10 K (Class A Advanced Fayetteville)
Abreu racked up 90 strikeouts in just 54 1/3 innings last year and is showing that penchant for generating swings and misses this year as well. The 21 year old has already generated 17 strikeouts in 9 2/3 innings, while walking five and giving up just two runs.

Mariners: Logan Gilbert, RHP (No. 6) -- 5 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 8 K (Class A West Virginia); Justin Dunn, RHP (No. 3) -- 5.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 8 K (Double-A Arkansas)
Gilbert didn't pitch after the Mariners selected him in the first-round last season, but his professional debut has been worth the wait. After beginning his career with a pair of scoreless starts, the Stetson product finally gave up a run, but he was still dominant. Through three starts Gilbert has yielded just one run and struck out 22 over 14 innings. Dunn, meanwhile, took a no-hitter into the sixth and lowered his ERA to 1.88. The 23-year-old right-hander has struck out 21 in 14 1/3 innings over his first three starts since being acquired from the Mets in the Robinson Cano/Edwin Diaz deal in December.

Rangers: Sam Huff, C/1B (No. 21) -- 1-for-4, HR, RBI (Class A Hickory)
Huff, who also spent last year with Hickory, hit his fourth homer of the year and is hitting .286 through 11 games. In 2018 Huff hit .241 with 18 homers in 118 games.

NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST

Braves: Joey Wentz, LHP (No. 12) -- 4.2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K (Double-A Mississippi)
Wentz's Double-A debut is off to a strong start as he's given up just one earned run -- via a solo homer -- in 8 1/3 innings. The 21-year-old has also struck out seven and issued four walks. Injuries limited Wentz to just 16 starts a season ago, but when he was on the mound he posted a 2.28 ERA over 67 innings. Braves prospects stats »

Marlins: Victor Victor Mesa, OF (No. 2, MLB No. 96) -- 2-for-5 (Class A Advanced Jupiter)
After going hitless (0-for-12) through the first three games of his career, Mesa notched a hit in five of his past six games. Mesa put together three multihit games in that stretch but is still looking for his first extra-base hit.

Mets: Simeon Woods-Richardson, RHP (No. 7) -- 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K (Class A Columbia)
Rome batters hardly stood a chance against Woods-Richardson, who has thrown three scoreless innings in each of his past two starts. The 2018 second-round pick threw 31 of his 43 pitches for strikes as he struck out five of the nine batters he faced.

Phillies: Nick Maton, SS (No. 18) -- 2-for-5, 3B, HR, 5 RBI (Class A Advanced Clearwater)
Maton's second two-hit game of the year also turned out to be the first five-RBI game of his career. Maton, who drove in 51 runs in 114 games last season, hit a three-run homer in the second and finished his night with a two-run triple in the ninth.

Nationals: Wil Crowe, RHP (No. 5) -- 5 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 6 K (Double-A Harrisburg)
Crowe was bumped up to Double-A late in the 2018 season but struggled with the adjustment and posted a 6.15 ERA through five starts. Albeit in a small sample size, Crowe has fared better in his return to the level this season. Through three starts (16 innings), Crowe has struck out 14 and is sporting a 1.69 ERA.

NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL

Brewers: Keston Hiura, 2B (No. 1, MLB No. 20) -- 2-for-5, 2B, 3B, RBI (Triple-A San Antonio)
Hiura extended his hitting streak to four games with a pair of extra-base hits against Nashville. The Brewers' top prospect is hitting. 304 this year and has also driven in at least one run in four straight games.

Cubs: Trent Giambrone, SS/2B (No. 20) -- 3-for-5, HR, 2 RBI (Triple-A Iowa)
Make it three straight games with a homer for Giambrone. The middle infielder is 6-for-12 over his past three games and easily on track to set a career high for homers. Giambrone hit 17 homers in 116 games last year and has five through 10 games this season.

Cardinals: Tommy Edman, SS/2B (No. 11) -- 2-for-6, 2B, HR, 4 RBI; Edmundo Sosa, SS/2B/3B (No. 10) -- 3-for-4, 2 2B, RBI; Ramon Urias, INF (No. 25) -- 2-for-4, HR, BB, 3 R, RBI (Triple-A Memphis)
The Redbirds' infield did plenty of damage as Memphis topped Round Rock 10-2, chasing baseball's top-ranked pitching prospect, Forrest Whitley, in the second inning. The four RBIs, via a two-run double and a two-run homer, marked a career high for Edmund, who is in the middle of a seven-game hitting streak. Sosa drove in a run with an double in the second inning and turned in his first three-hit performance of the season. And Urias reached base and scored three times, highlighted by his second homer of the season.

Pirates: J.T. Brubaker, RHP (No. 21) -- 5.1 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K (Triple-A Indianapolis)
After giving up two runs in his first start and one run in his second, it was certainly fitting that Brubaker put up zeros in his third trip to the mound. The 25-year-old made 22 starts with Indianapolis last season, and the experience shows as he's off to a fast start in 2019.

Reds: Jacob Heatherly, LHP (No. 12) -- 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K (Class A Dayton)
Heatherly, a third-round pick from the 2017 Draft, put together his best start of the season. After giving up five earned runs through 3 2/3 innings over his first two starts, Heatherly cruised through five scoreless innings, throwing 51 of his 77 pitches for strikes. The five strikeouts also matched Heatherly's total from the previous two starts, and it was his first start without issuing a walk.

NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST

D-backs: Jackson Goddard, RHP (No. 29) -- 4.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 K (Class A Kane County)
Goddard's first full season is off to a strong start as he's allowed just one earned run through three starts (12 1/3 innings). The 2018 third-round pick has struggled with walks a bit, having already surrendered eight, but he also has done a good job of navigating his way out of trouble.

Dodgers: Will Smith, C/3B (No. 5) -- 2-for-4, 2B, HR, 2 RBI (Triple-A Oklahoma City)
Smith is 4-for-10 over the past three games after turning in his second and third two-hit performance of the season. Smith has also homered twice and drove in four runs during that three-game stretch.

Giants: Chris Shaw, OF (No. 11) -- 3-for-3, 3B, HR (Double-A Richmond)
Shaw hit his first homer of the season Sunday, and it looks like that may have been exactly what he needed. The 25-year-old outfielder hit .214 through the first five games of the season, but he is 4-for-8 over the past two days. Also noteworthy is the fact that Shaw has struck out five times in 22 at-bats this season after striking out in 37 percent of his at-bats in his brief taste of the Majors last year.

Padres: Tirso Ornelas, OF (No. 16) -- 2-for-3, 2B (Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore)
The season is just 12 games old, but Ornelas -- the youngest player in the California League -- has already put up seven multi-hit efforts. The 19-year-old is third in the league in hitting (.348) after hitting .252 through 86 games last season with Class A Fort Wayne.

Rockies: Tyler Nevin, 1B/3B (No. 7) -- 1-for-1, 2B, 3 BB (Double-A Hartford)
Nevin didn't get a ton of pitches to hit, but he was patient at the plate -- matching his career high with three walks -- and when he did get his pitch, he didn't miss it and doubled in the fourth inning. Nevin is off to a slow start, hitting .200 through 11 games after hitting .328 in 100 games a season ago.
