Giants fans are invited to support the Junior Giants 25th season and the 24,000 kids that will play this summer by donating to the Junior Giants Glove Drive presented by Bank of America on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at AT&T Park, where the Giants will face the Phillies at 7:05 p.m.

Fans who donate $10 or a new or gently used baseball glove to the Giants Community Fund will receive their choice of either a 60th Anniversary or Buster Posey pin. Those who donate $20 will receive a limited edition Buster Posey Bobblehead. Prior to the game, volunteers will be stationed at every gate at AT&T Park collecting donations and inside the ballpark at the Community Clubhouse on the Promenade Level. Fans who are unable to make the game but still want to participate can donate online at jrgiants.org.

The Giants Community Fund hosts the Glove Drive to directly benefit Junior Giants and its 90 leagues by providing needed equipment for children throughout Northern California, Oregon and Nevada. Of the 24,000 children participating in Junior Giants, more than 13,000 do not have their own glove and 53 percent of players who participate in the free, noncompetitive baseball and softball program, receive free or reduced-price school meals. Last year, the Junior Giants, the flagship program of the Giants Community Fund, raised over $34,500 at the ballpark ensuring each child in the program had a glove of his or her own.

In conjunction with the Junior Giants Glove Drive, the Baseball Tomorrow Fund will award a $5,000 grant to the Morgan Hill Junior Giants league to purchase new equipment and will be recognized during a pre-game home plate ceremony. This year marks the thirteenth season that Major League Baseball's Baseball Tomorrow Fund has teamed up with Major League Baseball Clubs to supplement existing equipment collection programs and help facilitate the creation of new ones.

Junior Giants uses baseball and softball as a forum to teach kids about confidence, integrity, leadership and teamwork, enabling them to make informed and productive decisions within their lives. There are more than 5,000 volunteer coaches, team parents and Commissioners who work to ensure that kids in their communities have the opportunity to play the game.
