Baseball is officially back in full swing, as all four levels of full-season Minor League ball are in action once again. And with that comes the return of the Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week.
Although the Triple-A season started March 27, we'll be keeping things even by counting stats starting on April 2, which was Opening Day for most of Double-A, High-A and Single-A. With upwards of 10 games per team, we've seen some big-time performances across the nation, including from four prospects from the Top 100 and two each from the Giants, Rays and Mariners.
To be eligible for the Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week, Minor League players must be ranked among their club's Top 30 prospects on Pipeline's lists. (Those in the Majors do not qualify.)
This is the Prospect Team of the Week for April 2-12:

C: Jesus Rodriguez, Sacramento River Cats (Triple-A)
Giants No. 18
.478/.520/.826, 5 G, 11-for-23, 2 HR, 2 2B, 6 RBI, 8 R, 2 BB, 1 K, 1 SB
The Giants acquired Rodriguez as part of the Camilo Doval trade last July, and he's thrived in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League (.822 OPS) in a multiposition role since. Splitting his time between catcher (three games) and second base (two), the 23-year-old picked up multiple hits in four games during this stretch and capped his week with a four-hit performance that included a homer and a double. The Venezuela native also did not allow a single baserunner to steal on him.
1B: Blake Burke, Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A)
Brewers No. 18
.289/.372/.789, 9 G, 11-for-38, 6 HR, 1 2B, 9 RBI, 10 R, 4 BB, 11 K, 3 SB
Burke gained a reputation at Tennessee as a big-time lefty slugger, and he's delivering on that promise to start the 2026 season. The 34th overall pick in 2024 mashed six home runs -- the most of any player outside Triple-A -- and has gone for extra bases on seven of his 11 hits. Also impressive are his steals in three consecutive games, as he only nabbed 15 bases in 132 games last year. This is Burke's second appearance on a Prospect Team of the Week after earning a nod in Week 12 last year.
2B: Pedro Ramírez, Iowa Cubs (Triple-A)
Cubs No. 8
.313/.371/.688, 8 G, 10-for-32, 3 HR, 3 2B, 7 RBI, 8 R, 3 BB, 8 K, 3 SB, 1 CS
Playing at the highest level of the Minors for the first time, Ramirez has shown off his advanced hit tool while splitting time between the keystone and hot corner. Not only is he making lots of contact as usual, he's making it loudly, as he's already halfway to tying his career-high in homers (eight) and is running a 62.5 percent hard-hit rate during this period. The Venezuela native previously made a Prospect Team of the Week during the fourth week of the 2024 season.
3B: LuJames Groover, Reno Aces (Triple-A)
D-backs No. 10
.395/.489/.553, 10 G, 15-for-38, 1 HR, 3 2B, 14 RBI, 6 R, 7 BB, 4 K
Groover is taking well to Triple-A while showing the elite on-base ability needed to stick at the infield corners in the big leagues. He racked up multiple hits in half his games -- including outings with three and four hits -- and drove in a career-high six runs on April 8. Crucially, MLB's No. 6 3B prospect walked (seven) nearly twice as often as he struck out (four) after totalling 63 walks and 79 strikeouts last year at Double-A.
SS: Jhonny Level, San Jose Giants (Single-A)
Giants No. 4/MLB No. 98
.519/.567/.926, 5 G, 14-for-27, 2 HR, 5 2B, 9 RBI, 10 R, 3 BB, 6 K, 3 SB
In a Giants farm system loaded with shortstop prospects, Level may be the most underrated of the bunch. Named the top prospect in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League last year, the 19-year-old has taken Single-A by storm to start 2026, with multiple hits in all but one game. The switch-hitter has already gone deep twice in six games -- after totaling 22 homers in his first two seasons -- while adding another five doubles.
OF: Theo Gillen, Bowling Green Hot Rods (High-A)
Rays No. 1/MLB No. 70
.333/.419/.889, 8 G, 9-for-27, 4 HR, 3 2B, 9 RBI, 10 R, 2 BB, 7 K, 3 SB
Gillen has had one of the hottest stretches of any player this season, as he homered four times in five at-bats across games Saturday and Sunday. The 2024 first-rounder was a major candidate to bounce back after missing time with a calf injury and broken middle finger last year, although he previously stood out more for his speed and hit tool than his left-handed power. True to form, though, he did steal three bases and has hit safely in all but one game this season. Gillen previously made a Prospect Team of the Week in Week 5 last season.
OF: Brendan Tunink, Ontario Tower Buzzers (Single-A)
Dodgers No. 27
.357/.406/.786, 7 G, 10-for-28, 3 HR, 3 2B, 6 RBI, 4 R, 3 BB, 9 K, 2 SB
Tunink was one of the top performers in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League last year, where he finished fourth in wRC+ (152) and earned All-Star honors. His transition to Single-A has gone smoothly, as he's hitting for lots of power to counteract his strikeouts. The left-handed swinger slugged two homers on Opening Day and is second in the pitcher-friendly California League with a 1.192 OPS.
OF: Austin Overn, Montgomery Biscuits (Double-A)
Rays No. 25
.379/.471/.552, 7 G, 11-for-29, 1 HR, 1 3B, 4 RBI, 7 R, 4 BB, 6 K, 12 SB
One of the prospects shipped from Baltimore in the Shane Baz trade, Overn and his 75-grade speed have taken, well, quickly to the Rays' system. The 2024 third-rounder has racked up 12 steals without getting caught -- including five in one game -- to grab the Minor League lead despite playing a week less than players at Triple-A. The former USC Trojan hit safely in all but one game and has the makings of a solid leadoff man with strong center-field defense. He made a Prospect Team of the Week previously in Week 17 last year.
LHP: Kade Anderson, Arkansas Travelers (Double-A)
Mariners No. 2/MLB No. 18
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 9 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 17 K, 0.89 WHIP
Anderson did not pitch competitively after the Mariners drafted him third overall last year -- and he's made it worth the wait. The southpaw struck out six batters across four hitless innings in his pro debut and then followed that up with a whopping 11 K's across five hitless innings in his second outing. The former Louisiana State hurler was efficient with his four-pitch mix and only once needed more than 16 pitches to get through an inning.
RHP: Seth Hernandez, Bradenton Marauders (Single-A)
Pirates No. 2/MLB No. 26
0-0, 1.29 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 15 K, 0.57 WHIP
Hernandez built up all kinds of hype when he fired his first pitch of Spring Breakout at 102.4 mph. He's been just as dominant at Single-A with even better control. The sixth overall pick in 2025 walked two batters in his Spring Breakout inning but only issued one free pass in his two starts for Bradenton while striking out 15. He picked up 18 whiffs on 24 swings in his debut while outdueling a rehabbing Trey Yesavage and then followed that up with four hitless frames.
RP: Charlie Beilenson, Arkansas Travelers (Double-A)
Mariners No. 26
0-0, 0.00 ERA, 3 G, 4.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 0.43 WHIP
Beilenson pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings for Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic and has carried over that untouchable stuff to the regular season. The 2024 fifth-rounder used his three-pitch mix well to strike out eight while giving up just one hit and one walk across 4 2/3 scoreless innings.
