Ichiro Suzuki Hall of Fame Class of 2025

It’s official… Ichiro will be welcomed into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on July 27! The Class of 2025 inductee began his storied MLB career with the Mariners in 2001 as the first Japanese position player to play in the Majors. He’ll now make history again as the first Japanese-born player to enter the Hall. Ichiro spent 14 of his 19 MLB seasons here in Seattle, where he leads the franchise in hits, batting average, triples and stolen bases. He’ll join Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez and Dave Niehaus as Mariners representatives in Cooperstown. Across his professional career in the United States and Japan, Ichiro tallied a remarkable 4,367 hits – the most in baseball history. His global legacy and enduring influence on the game are unmatched.
