Jordan undergoes 2nd Tommy John surgery

May 27th, 2016

WASHINGTON -- Nationals right-hander Taylor Jordan underwent Tommy John surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament. The procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews on Thursday. This is Taylor's second such procedure; he previously underwent Tommy John surgery in 2011.
Jordan was a highly-touted prospect as recently as 2013. He made his Major League debut that year and had a 3.66 ERA in his short time with the Nationals. The next year, he competed for a spot in the rotation, but he was sent down to the Minor Leagues before going down with elbow soreness. He made nine appearances (six starts) for the Nationals from 2014-15.
The club said Jordan will begin rehab immediately.
