Phillies Ballpark Buzz: Top Things to Know for Cardinals Series (June 18-20)

On Monday, the Phillies return to host the St. Louis Cardinals (June 18-20) at Citizens Bank Park. Below are the top things to know.

  1. Phillies Beach Bash at Boardwalk Eats with Carlos Santana on Monday. Plus, Boardwalk Eats Summer Steal promotion and new Boardwalk Eats Secret Menu on the Ballpark app begins!

The Phillies and Aramark are hosting the "Phillies Beach Bash at Boardwalk Eats" in celebration of the official summer opening of Boardwalk Eats, a new boardwalk-themed concession area, before the 7:05 p.m. game. Left Field Gate opens at 5:05 p.m. and a fun "boardwalk" runway show begins at 5:35 p.m. Event highlights include:

  • Phillies' first baseman Carlos Santana, Larry Andersen, John Kruk, Greg Luzinski and Mickey Morandini; Phillies Wives' Brittany Arrieta, Stephanee Neshek, Brittany Santana and their children; Phillies broadcasters' Scott Franzke, Gregg Murphy, Tom McCarthy and his son Tommy McCarthy, the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies Ballgirls and local media celebrities will all take part in the show.
  • Take photos with a giant Phillies sandcastle, play corn hole, try out the dunk tank, enjoy live music by the Beach Bumz and more.
  • Preview this summer's hottest giveaways, theme nights and promotions at the ballpark. Stop by the WTDY, WXTU and SportsRadio WIP tent to win prizes.

  1. Game of Thrones® Night on Monday.

Join House Phillies of Philadelphia for an epic Games of Thrones® Night at Castle Citizens Bank Park. During the game, fans are invited to stop by the break behind Section 210 and take a photo on the Iron Throne.

Plus, fans that purchase the Games of Thrones® Theme Night ticket will receive a limited-edition Phillies Game of Thrones® Phanatic bobble head.

  1. Phillies broadcasters take to the stands on Tuesday!

Fans should be on the lookout on Tuesday for the Phillies broadcast team in the stands as part of NBC Sports Philadelphia's Authentic Fan Night at Citizens Bank Park. Tom McCarthy, John Kruk and Ben Davis will be broadcasting the 7:05 p.m. game from Section 138, Row 1 and Gregg Murphy will be roving the ballpark!

Fans that purchase the NBC Sports Philadelphia's Authentic Fan ticket will receive an exclusive Phillies Authentic Fan hat.

  1. African American Heritage Celebration on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the 15th annual African American Heritage Celebration presented by the Sound of Philadelphia will take place. Fans are invited to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. for great music and entertainment in honor of Black Music Month:

  • ODUNDE365 will perform at the Left Field Gate.
  • The Gamble and Huff Community Service Award will be presented to Blue Magic, one of the most popular Philadelphia soul groups of the 1970s.
  • Ted "Wizard" Mills, the lead singer of Blue Magic, will perform "What's Come Over Me" and ODUNDE365 will perform on-field pregame.
  • Members of Blue Magic will sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" in the seventh inning.
  1. Flyers Day features first pitch by Shayne Gostisbehere before Citizens Bank Businessperson's Special on Wednesday!

Flyers' Shayne Gostisbehere will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Wednesday and Flyers' anthem singer, Lauren Hart, will perform the national anthem prior to the 1:05 p.m. Citizens Bank Businessperson's Special game as part of Flyers Day.

Gate Openings: Ashburn Alley opens two hours prior to game time; all other gates open one and a half hours prior to game time.
