Phillies Give Back at MANNA

On Friday, July 22, Phillies 2008 World Champion hitting coach Milt Thompson joined the front office staff and The GIANT Company to make a special visit to MANNA in Philadelphia as part of ‘Phillies Give Back at MANNA Day.’

All volunteered their time chopping vegetables, packing meals, filling meal trays, making sandwiches, baking and doing additional tasks before that night’s game against the Cubs.

Manna, a former Phillies Charities grant recipient, uses nutrition to improve health for people with serious illnesses who need nourishment to heal. By providing medically tailored meals and nutrition education, they empower people to improve their health and quality of life.

The event kicked off the team’s Week of Giving, held in partnership with The GIANT Company.
