His mom, Amy, is a retired school teacher who has shifted her focus to helping empower disabled children who don’t have the ability to attend college...Roupp's older brother, Peyton, is a firefighter...The Roupp family lives in farm country outside Rocky Mount...Most of Landen's friends are farmers who have fields of cotton, corn, tomatoes and other seasonal crops...Roupp hunts and fishes when he’s not playing ball...His grandfather fixes tractors at his hydraulics shop.

Was diagnosed with a left knee sprain and flew back to San Francisco to receive an MRI...Was placed on the 15-day IL on Aug. 22 (left knee inflammation) and missed the rest of the season.

Came to camp as a non-roster invitee not expected to pitch in Cactus League games following a back injury in 2023...Coaches were impressed by his killer curveball and sinker in bullpen sessions and decided to get Roupp into game action...Made the Giants' Opening Day roster and made his MLB debut on March 29 at San Diego, tossing one scoreless inning...Entered the season as the Giants' No. 12 prospect according to MLB Pipeline and No. 14 according to Baseball America...Optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on April 23 and was recalled the next day...Posted a 5.27 ERA (eight ER, 13.2 IP) in his first 10 relief outings...Was optioned again on April 30...Experienced right elbow inflammation on May 16 at Triple-A and was shut down from throwing until the beginning of June...Recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on June 30, pitched 2.2 innings of relief for SF that day against the Dodgers and was then optioned back to Sacramento on July 2 to get stretched out as a starter...Recalled from Sacramento on Aug. 9 and appeared in four games, allowing just one run in 6.2 innings of work before being optioned on Aug. 24…Recalled three days later (Aug. 27) with LHP Robbie Ray landing on the 15-day injured list...Made eight appearances (four starts) to finish the season, posting a 1-2 record with a 2.63 ERA...Earned his first MLB win on Sept. 21 at Kansas City…Logged five scoreless innings with three walks and three strikeouts in SF’s 9-0 win...Faced 187 consecutive batters without allowing a homer from April 8-Sept. 27, the longest streak by any Giants pitcher in 2024...Logan Webb had the second-longest streak (182 consecutive hitters from July 20-Aug. 27)...Did not allow a run in nine road games (17.2 IP), compared to an 0-2 record with a 5.51 ERA (20 ER, 32.2 IP) in 14 games at Oracle Park...Appeared in eight games (six starts) for Triple-A Sacramento, going 0-1 with a 3.80 ERA (nine ER, 21.1 IP), 30 strikeouts, a 1.31 WHIP and a .187 opponents' batting average.

Started the year at Double-A Richmond and made 10 starts for the Squirrels, going 0-0 with a 1.74 ERA. Roupp struck out 42 batters over 31.0 innings (12.2 K/9ip) and held opponents to a .206 average. Had his season cut short after landing in the 7-day IL on July 2 with back inflammation, an injury he sustained on the field during his June 30 start. Missed the remainder of the year in the IL. Roupp’s 1.74 ERA prior to hitting the IL on June 30 ranked as the fourth-lowest in all Double-A (min. 30.0ip).
2022
Started the year at Single-A San Jose and served mostly as a reliever, making 12 appearances out of the bullpen before starting his final two games there...Went 5-2 with a 2.59 ERA in 14 outings...Promoted to High-A Eugene, where he went 3-0 with a 1.67 ERA in seven starts, striking out 52 batters in just 32.1 innings (14.5 K/9 IP)...Overall, went 10-3 with a 2.60 ERA in 26 games (14 starts) between three levels.
