A's agree to terms with RHP Marco Estrada on a one-year contract

The Oakland A's have agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Marco Estrada on a one-year contract for the 2019 season, the club announced today. To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the A's outrighted right-handed pitcher Parker Bridwell to Triple-A Las Vegas. Bridwell will be a non-roster invitee with the A's this spring.

Estrada was 7-14 with a 5.64 ERA and .274 opponents batting average in 28 starts for Toronto last year after going 32-26 with a 3.88 ERA and .222 opponents average in 96 games, 90 starts, over his first three seasons with the Blue Jays from 2015-17. He had his best season in 2015 when he went 13-8 with a 3.13 ERA and was named to the American League All-Star Team in 2016.
