This is your chance to be a big leaguer. Join us for an unforgettable week at the A's Fantasy Camp! Experience the life of a Major League player and play on the same fields as the Athletics during Spring Training at Lew Wolff Training Center Complex in Mesa, Arizona, one of the best facilities in all of Major League Baseball. Registration is open to all genders, ages 21 and over. Proceeds from this event will benefit the A's Community Fund.

What is A's Fantasy Camp?

The A's Fantasy Camp is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for A's fans to live their lifelong Major League Baseball dreams. Campers will spend five (5) days on the Major League fields at the A's Spring Training complex in Mesa, AZ, playing games and receiving baseball instruction from A's legends. The camp staff consists of several A's alumni, and you will get to know these former big leaguers on and off the ball fields. Campers will be assigned their own Major League locker, receive a custom authentic uniform, play on Major League fields, and more!

Where and when is Fantasy Camp held?

Fantasy Camp begins Wednesday, January 8, and ends Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Held in Mesa, Arizona, campers use the A's professional facilities and fields at the Lew Wolff Training Complex at Fitch Park. These are the same fields that prepare A's players for Spring Training games and are often used to train A's Minor League players.

Who is eligible to participate?

Any player, of any gender, 21 years of age or older is eligible to participate.

What is the level of competition?

The camp is designed for players of all capabilities and competitive spirit. On the first day of camp, coaches will draft their teams for the week of games. Campers can play every position and compete for the Fantasy Camp Championship; sportsmanship and fun always come first!

How much playing time will I get?

Every camper can play every position on the field, anywhere between one (1) and two (2) games daily. All campers are in the lineup for every game. In addition to the daily games, you will find our coaches more than happy to share other tips that can improve your game.

Who are the former Major Leaguers in camp?

Our camp staff will consist of many former A's Players. 2025 coaching staff will be announced at a later date. Please note that coaches are subject to change.

How much time can I expect to spend with the coaches and are we allowed to ask for autographs and pictures?

Camp participants will have many opportunities to spend time with the coaches, both on and off the field. Campers are welcome to ask for photos and autographs during their free time and away from games. A professional photographer will also be available to capture the perfect photo of you in action, as well as with your coach and teammates.

What do I need to bring?

All you need to bring is your glove and proper footwear, either cleats (rubber spikes required, NO METAL SPIKES) or running shoes. You may also bring your own wood bat(s), but this is not required. We will provide new participants with a complete uniform, including one home jersey, a pair of pants, a belt, socks, and a fitted cap. Returning campers will have to bring their previous year's uniform. We will equip each team with batting helmets, catcher's gear, baseballs, etc. A limited number of bats will be supplied if you do not bring your own.

What type of bats are used at camp and are they provided?

Only wood bats will be permitted at the A's Fantasy Camp. The goal is to recreate that Major League experience for all of our campers and promote a safe environment. You are welcome to bring a personal bat to use at camp, but the camp is not responsible for personal bats broken during the course of play.

What kind of clubhouse and trainer support can I expect?

Our goal is to give each camper the real Major League experience, and that means keeping you on the field and ready for the next game. Our clubhouse crew will have your uniform laundered each day and hang it in your locker each morning. Our athletic trainers will also be available to assist you in working through any injuries, aches or pains that you might encounter during the week.

Do you have baseballs on hand for autographs?

Baseballs will be available while supplies last. A team photo will be taken by our photographer and will be made available for every camper.

Where do we stay while we are in Mesa?

Lodging and accommodations will be provided at hotel TBD near the training facility. Your registration includes your hotel stay with a double occupancy room. Campers have the opportunity to upgrade to a single occupancy room for an additional fee.

What meals are covered?

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided daily at the training facility. Dinner will be provided at the Welcome Reception and Awards Banquet, which is included in your registration. Campers will be responsible for other meals not listed.

Are flights included?

Campers are responsible for their airfare, as well as transportation to and from the airport.

Can I bring my spouse, family member or friend?

Campers are welcome to purchase a Fan Package to have a guest participate in all off field activities. Maximum of one Fan Package per camp registration. Fan Package participants must be 21 years of age or older. All other guests may not visit the training facility or attend any sanctioned events.

What is the appropriate attire for camp?

Attire for the camp is casual, although most of your days will be spent at the fields in uniform. For the Awards Banquet, we do ask that everyone wear business casual attire as this will be a special evening of recognition and achievement. The mornings and evenings can be cool, and we do recommend that you bring a light jacket or sweater with you.

Do campers receive any special recognition?

Absolutely! At the end of the week, special awards will be presented by the coaches at the Awards Banquet.

Is my registration tax deductible?

Yes! Net proceeds from the A's Fantasy Camp benefits the A's Community Fund. Participants will receive a tax letter at the conclusion of the event.

ADDITIONAL DISCLAIMERS: All participants consent to being housed in a double occupancy room for the duration of Fantasy Camp, unless an individual occupancy upgrade is purchased. If the participant has any requirements concerning their co-occupant, such participant should notify the A’s as soon as possible. Participant accepts and acknowledges that the A’s are not performing background or security checks on Fantasy Camp participants, and each participant accepts the risk of dangers and injuries, including death, inherent in living with an individual not known to them. Each participant voluntarily accepts and assumes all risk of injuries or loss of property incurred or suffered by the participant as a participant.

The A’s shall not be obligated to hold Fantasy Camp or to perform any term or condition of any agreement associated with Fantasy Camp if Fantasy Camp is prevented by matters or conditions beyond the reasonable control of the A’s, including but not limited to war (including hostilities with or without a formal declaration of war), terrorism, public emergency or calamity, fire, earthquake, flood, act of God, strikes or other labor disputes involving the A's, civil disturbances or riots, or any governmental restrictions. No refunds are permitted after 11:59 PM EST on June 1, 2024. After June 1, 2024, all sales are final.
