NEW BALLPARK

On Nov. 16, 2023, Major League Baseball owners approved the relocation of the Athletics to Las Vegas. The Club is set to open its new ballpark for the 2028 season on the Tropicana site on the Las Vegas Strip.

In June, Governor Lombardo signed SB 1, the A's public-private partnership bill to support the ballpark. The A’s are committed to a community benefits agreement, union labor during the construction process, and permanent union jobs at the ballpark, in addition to local hires, apprentice work programs, and Women and Minority Owned Enterprises. The project will create 16,000 construction jobs and 13,000 annual jobs.

The A's have hired Mortenson | McCarthy as the construction manager and CAA ICON as owner’s representative. The Mortenson | McCarthy team will be responsible for overseeing all construction-related activities. The official hiring is subject to approval by the Las Vegas Stadium Authority. CAA ICON will assist in the overall project management and serve as a key resource in the oversight of the architect, construction manager, subcontractors, and other specialty consultants.
