Smith was 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA and .280 opponents batting average in 31 relief appearances with Oakland. He posted a 2.93 ERA over his first 11 games but has a 6.75 ERA in 20 games since then. He was acquired from San Francisco on Feb. 15, 2020 and went 3-1 with a 4.72 ERA in 37 relief appearances in two seasons with Oakland.
